‘Pianoforte’ features a Fazioli F212 sampled to utmost realism using multiple microphone positions - including Ambisonics microphones, in order to capture the pure sweetness and rich harmonic body only Fazioli can deliver.

After recording the Piano’s sonic emissions from every corner possible, we decided to push the limits we set with ‘The Upright’, and decided to work independently on the Stereo and Ambisonics versions. This time, while part of our time dedicated their time to prepare independent Microphone Positions and Mixes (for Stereo), the other part of the team focused on creating custom Ambisonics mixes that will help you feel the richness of the Piano from several angles.

This means that whether you decide to work on Stereo or Multichannel Arrays, ‘Pianoforte’ will always surprise you with a unique opportunity to fit the glorious sound of this Fazioli on your mix.

My wife and I love to listen to Antonio Carlos Jobim's music while driving around town and this is one of our favorites.
* Note this is just a live improv so it might have a little extra character to it ;^)

‘Tangent Drum’ is the one and only Tongue Drum you will ever need - and we say that with confidence! 

Recorded with several microphone positions, some of them traditional some others daring and original, we pulled as many colours as possible from this beautiful instrument.

But that’s not all - we also deconstructed every single sample in three layers: The tonal, the percussive and the instrument root so as to be able to build advanced and spotless patches that will help you create music with crystal-clear quality!

Thanks to our deconstruction technique, we assembled multiple Tongue Drums with resonances in different keys (C, D, E, F, G, A, B) as well as an extensive 6-octave range free of any of those pitch-stretch artifacts you get on the transients. 

The results are extremely high quality sound as well as crazy clean playability!

What about the Articulations? Well… are you ready? Not only did we play the drum with our fingers (in different ways) as well as with mallets, but we also created a prepared patch played with a crazy amount of different objects! We even managed to bow the tongues! Finally, we ALSO designed more than ten unique Sound Design articulations in native Ambisonics, for full immersion!

A total of 28 Articulations and spotless quality make Tangent Drum the only Tongue Drum you will ever need!

Signals ‘Blue' is the ultimate tool to design custom textures that can adapt to any tonality, be major or minor and from there, to a plethora of chords with multiple voicings. This way, the resulting texture not only fills your music with an ambience, but this ambience is coherent to the chord progressions as you move through your music.

Unlike other textural libraries in which samples are ready with baked effects or pulses, we decided to create raw textural samples so that YOU would be in control of the results thanks to our powerful and versatile engine. By having these textures in raw, you will decide how they combine, how they pulse, how they modulate and which effects are applied - a complete textural Swiss-army knife.

But that’s not all! Because our philosophy is to create sample libraries in Ambisonics so that they can be compatible with any speaker-array, we saw the sampling phase as a new challenge and instead of using plugins with reverbs or virtual halls, we partnered with ‘Dust Bowl Cinematic’ and spent a great deal of time to research and develop an acoustic art installation that would reshape sounds in a custom three-dimensional sphere, they called it Pandora.

Pandora has helped us push our sampling methods to a new level, and thanks to it, we’ve been able to offer Digitally Processed samples in an organic Ambisonics environment - everything that we captured and mixed was the natural replica of real acoustic morph.
