Midas Touch Recordings is a new platform dedicated to pushing forward thinking music mainly within the drum and bass field. Founded in 2020 by Belgian DJ’s and producers SVB and Scepticz, two friends who share the love for drum and bass music. Knowing each other for many years already, they decided to discuss
an idea one evening and it didn’t took long before the entire concept of the label was born. The story of king Midas, turning everything in to gold with a single touch, that was it! This you will see and hear in everything Midas Touch related.
As a newcomer in the scene, they already received support by Noisia, DJ Marky, Doc Scott, John B, Mako, Icicle, Amoss, Arkaik, Ill Truth, Quadrant & Iris, Kolectiv and more. Bringing a mix of deep, dark
minimal beats with clean drum work and raw basses, It will not take long before they put their mark on the scene!

With all these recent, increasing and pretty purple news on forced closures of night clubs, I randomly stumbled across this eight years old mix of mine. It was recorded October 3rd 2008 at the legendary London THE END night club during a Renegade Hardware event three month before the venue was forced to shut down its operation too. 

I do remember these days pretty good; it felt unfair, like being stabbed in the heart and being compelled to move on and to leave an awesome place behind. To me personally Fabric Night Club became the new END. Of course the clubs are different to each other in a few aspects, but both DO unite this unique vibe and this very crucial function and role of getting a music scene together on all levels and on a worldwide scale.  True motherships, so to speak. Every night club is an extremely important factor in the development, growth and existence of a music scene. 

Fabric yet hasn't gotten up their fight against an imposed and in my opinion unjustified decision: I am posting this mix to help raising awareness and to support them on their venture. Share, donate, do something. --->

He has released on innumerable iconic labels including Metalheadz, CIA and Critical, as well as often collaborating with other heavyweights such as Total Science, Naibu and War. His highly anticipated debut album is forthcoming soon on Utopia Music. In the meantime, his latest offering is out now, ‘Not Too Late / Trick’ on DLR’s Sofa Sound label, a hefty collaboration that can also be found in this exclusive mix.. Every element of the mix is masterfully crafted, with each song playing a vital piece in building upon the atmosphere and groove of the previous, as well as being packed full of his own productions and exclusives.

Hydro will be rolling out at the Hangar at our SINE warehouse rave on 9th Nov, and we are honoured to have him there alongside the rest of the lineup.

Last remaining active founder of the Viennese DNB Scene, started DJing and promoting Jungle / Drum and Bass in Vienna 1998 celebrating his 25th anniversary this year.
Together with the Synergetic Crew, they launched Vienna´s first regular weekly dnb clubnights at Kunstwerk, Jungle Fever attracted many people due to it´s unique style and the effort put into every detail.
The year 2000 saw the first Vienna Drum and Bass Festival, which from then on, was held once a year and invited all the crews in Vienna for a special showdown and representation of how versatile and big the scene had already grown. 
Synergetic´s move to the Arena in 2001 when the Kunstwerk had to close down, opened a huge space for up to 3000 junglist ravers once a month.
AudioDevice is still very active even after those many years. His style, based on his musicality, having had classical education and being a drummer, was always coming from a more soulful approach, but combining this with the deep, dark and heavier side, gave him a unique performance, always with tight and energetic mixing as drummers do it best.
Finding a new home with the Contrast Crew at the mighty Grelle Forelle, where he is working as Sound Chief, AudioDevice is now co- promoting the music he loves most on the soundsystem that fits perfect and is tuned with fine ears.
