First time remaking a beat. This is "Digable Planets - Examination of What" remake on FL Studio. I'm a huge fan of the DP's and this was one of my favorite tracks from the Reachin' album. I was trying to chop the drums from the track, but there were no clean openings. I used the best, SP1200 (which I assumed was used to make the beat, or an ASR... this was made in '92) drums I had in my catalog to get them sounding like the real track. As far as mixing, I'm not that good lol. I'll let someone else re-mix the track if they wish. 

I also had problems figuring out how Ish made the bridge fit in tempo initially, but I figured out he pitched that part slightly down. The hook (horns) and verse and slightly pitched up. It took me about 2-3 hours to remake. I may re-do some Tribe and Gang Starr tracks in the future. Let me know what you think!
