My first mixtape in months. Summer was brilliant and now we are feeling the first chills of Autumn this week in the UK. This mix celebrates the transition from summer to autumn with drifting ambient, cold and mournful chill, warm electronics, and a couple of balearic classics. Faves like Kyson, Data Rebel, Tripswitch and Russian artist Saymon Skorogonov make appearances, as well as tracks from the ASIP stable, and new discoveries Xenoton. Also surprisingly mellow and downbeat stuff from Mr Deadmau5 himself to top and tail this mix.

An old track from one of my fave nugaze bands - Port Royal. This is an archive remix I did of thier wonderful track Karola Bloch. It's fairly uptempo progressive breaks style but tries to maintain the spaced out nugaze atmosphere created by the band. More stuff coming from me soon!

Well yes I know it's only been a month since I did my last one, but there's been so much great music about, and I've finally got my mojo back - I've completed two new tracks and done this mix in the last two weeks. Anyway, winter's on its way, and as the nights draw in, you want to cozy up. This mix hopefully helps the transition from autumn to winter. Starts off beatless and stays that way for a while, and then the beats, tempo and vocals become ever present thoughout the mix. Hope you enjoy it as much I did putting it together. Cheers.

Section Records reboots and opens 2014 with the release of Audioglider's long-awaited debut album, ‘Accidental Beauty’. 

With echoes of Cocteau Twins, Nils Frahm, Boards of Canada, Nightmares On Wax and Ulrich Schnauss, Audioglider a.k.a. Roberto Sodano’s blissed out electronica has won him fans across the downtempo community – from The Big Chill through leading blogs including astrangelyisolatedplace, to DJs including Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Glenn Morrison. 

Audioglider releases appeared on labels such as Global Underground, Morrison Recordings, Renaissance, Exceptional Records and FOEM, before finding a permanent home at Section Records, who released the ‘Summer Rainstorm EP’ in May 2013. 

‘Accidental Beauty’ is a masterpiece of cross-genre downtempo; from the cinematic opening with the ironically-named ‘End Titles’, through the subtle and intricate 21st century breakbeat of ‘Fluid Motion’ (with Florida based artist, D-Step) and ‘My Tru Blood’, via the dubbed out ‘Dynamic Uno’, the trippy beats of ‘Just Sound’, and the closing euphoria that builds from ‘Disappear’, ‘Polydirective’ (with Chicago’s Mucci) through to the beautiful, ambient closer, ‘Cortexaphan’.
