Basilisk is a veteran multi-genre DJ, co-founder of the influential psychedelic techno label Techgnosis Records (@techgnosis-records), and founder of the iconic @Ektoplazm music portal and label group. Originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, he is now based in Taipei, Taiwan, where he remains dedicated to breaking boundaries through mixcraft and the art of DJing.

Appearing now on Subtrail's Trail Cast, Basilisk presents a broad definition of "psychedelic techno", sourcing material from across the spectrum from minimal and dub techno to dark and progressive psytrance, with tasteful references to tech house and classic trance. Smooth harmonic mixing, subtle tension building, and a spiral motion through different moods ensures this will be a true journey into sound. Trail Cast 57 - Basilisk

Cajarana is André Sousa’s latest musical moniker. The project spawned from GRUB, a dark prog collaboration with Fernando Rodrigues (Psyjar) that released on Maia Brasil Records, Glitchy Tonic Records and Zenon Records.

Now, the native Portuguese producer/dj is flying solo with immersive psy techno that borders on the trancy. Cajarana tells a story that originates from the belly of the beast, where psychedelic flavours and growling sounds overlap.

These rough and tough, fast-paced, unapologetic stomping beats are not for the faint hearted. Fasten your seatbelts – it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

The Piper is the alter ego of Pied Piper Paul, Psytrance DJ who started back in '94 in London, spinning vinyl of fresh Goatrance. Previously to this, he Djed 60-80's music in N.Z in '84 to '86 at 21st's, weddings and his local club. 

Now under this alter ego moniker The Piper, he can play 4x4 beats of a more techno nature, still with a pinch of psychedelic and a sprinkle of acid. After so many years and world tours, big festivals all playing Psytrance, The Piper was looking for a new sound to champion, so back to his roots - techno (He was going out to Techno gigs in Melb' '92 and London from '92). 

With the rising new sound of Psytechno, he found a music that excited and kept his passion burning. If you can come have a listen to a party popping, Dfloor mover groover, magic making, spell bounding Dj wizard of 30yrs, do so as he's guaranteed to have you shaking your ASSets about!

SYNCSYSTM / AU/DI0/GRAMME AKA VIAL is the brainchild of Delhi-based producer Vikrant Rathore, known for his distinctive and varied techno /electronic/psychedelic sounds. 
         Playing his first ever Dj set in 1998 it has been a long evolving journey.

         As AU/D10/GRAMME he is best known for his melodic and cutting edge morning/progressive psytrance, and his unstoppable energy on the console.
         
         Currently (2016-17) he has being ranked among the top 3 Artists/Djs in India under the psytrance category by the prestigious VH1 MY MYFAV awards (India's biggest Peoples Choice Awards Poll)

         Sharing stage and performing with artistes such as ASTRIX, ASTRAL PROJECTION, TRISTAN, AVALON, PVD, SKAZI, G.M.S, ACE VENTURA, LIQUIDSOUL,,JUDGE JULES, X- NOIZE, MARCEL WOODS, SOLAR STONE, to name a few has given him the opportunity to take his music to a more global audience and share his magic music on the dance floor.
         constantly travelling and with a busy gig schedule he has earned the love and affection of his listeners and fans across india.

         He has been a constant on lineups for various festivals like Sunburn, Mountain Madness, Vh1 supersonic and more.		
		
         A degree in music production from the much respected music & creative media school Point Blank Studios, London ,has helped him even further to crave his music and get a deeper knowledge of sound. 		
		
		His new project “VIAL “ is focusing majorly on producing and playing night psychedelic music, groovy baselines with complex arrangements and forest elements is how you can define his sets as VIAL.
