How do you make 4 chords sound so much more complex?

In response to your email question from Evenant, Arn, I think my biggest challenge is 1) Making it sound "epic" in the orchestration, 2)Countermelodies and ostinatos...where to put them so they don't distract and enhance like your work.

1 - How to find the right chords for the melody.    2- how to reharmonize existing chords?  3- how to do modulations?? 

Love your video’s, Arn. Harmonization, for me, is unexplored territory in terms of theory. I just add chords in trial and error mode. Works for me, but I guess I could be more efficient.
