Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of one of dance music's most iconic record labels 'Philadelphia International' the Basement Boy's Teddy Douglas has paid tribute to Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff with the release of a 10 track album of his reworks and remixes of some of Philadelphia International's finest ever moments via @quantize-recordings

Included are stand out versions of legendary tracks Don't Leave Me This Way, You Can't Hide From Yourself, Free Love and our premier today Teddy's reproduction of @john-morales and Thommy Davis's Was That All It Was. 

The album features a who's who of Soulful house's hottest producers and vocalists all at the top of their game. It's a superb tribute. The owner of Discoweey records, Hotmood's style reflects his production. Combining slow boogie and groove laden disco along with house and 70’s funk. Always adept at reading a crowd due to decades in the games plus a wealth of experience behind the decks. 

He’s played all over the globe including Singapore, Colombia, San Diego, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and his tracks have been supported by the likes of Simon Dunmore, Art Of Tones, Melvo Baptiste, Claptone along many more. This is one to ensure you are strapped in for!

Daydream Disco Mix Series - 015 - Ben Connor

A funky assortment from me in hour 1 with the usual selection of new and old, fast and slow, groovy and groovier… a couple of new bits from myself in the first hour too, and as an added bonus I had some tech issues so there’s not much of me talking!

Hour 2 is all about Niall Martin, creator of top London night Disco Jukebox, who I’m thrilled to have on the show. This up and coming London DJ Niall Martin puts his own spin on high energy dance classics. His sets are firmly rooted in the sounds of dance floors from the last 50 years but with an eclectic pop sensibility. Largely inspired by 70's disco, 90's and 00's house anthems, electroclash, mash up DJ's and pop icons. As well as championing new DJs/producers and digging deep to find records you definitely need to hear!

Niall currently runs a weekly night "Disco Jukebox" at late night East London queer venue, Village 512, a night which celebrates the best in Disco/ House. With a monthly spin off at Egg Launching on May 6th.
