This is amazing organic dance music. Live bass, drums, guitars and keyboards... played in a Afro-American vibe turned into modern house and indie dance that will put every dance floor on fire.

French house mainstay Larry Houl is back aboard The Disco Express, this time collaborating on a new project with fellow Nu-Disco artist Dave Kurtis.

Known for his signature charisma and a voice reminiscent of Jamiroquai's Jay Kay, Parisian Larry Houl has been shaping the scene for nearly a decade. As both a composer and singer, his work spans personal projects and collaborations with top-tier artists like Demuja, Jean Tonique, Oden & Fatzo, and Georges.

Now, he’s back with two electrifying releases alongside Dave Kurtis. Together, they present an original three track EP, amorously named 'Music Is For Lovers'.

When Dave Kurtis (Tropical Disco, Spa In Disco, and Tasty Recordings) crafted a funky groove that needed the perfect vocal touch, the collaboration with Larry Houl was a natural fit. The result? 'Just A Little Bit of You', a track that blends the soulful energy of Jamiroquai with the sleek, futuristic edge of Daft Punk—featuring infectious guitar riffs, a groovy bass line, and captivating vocals.

Kurtis also delivers ‘Stomp,’ a full-throttle disco anthem built to set dance floors ablaze. With a classic off-bassline, irresistible groove, and vintage vibes, it’s a straight-up Studio 54 throwback—an essential for any DJ’s crate.

Originally created in 2012, ‘My Love’ was the second-ever track Larry Houl and his collaborator produced together. Over time, it became a fan favourite, racking up 114K plays on SoundCloud. A serendipitous moment at a wedding party last summer rekindled their love for the track, sparking the idea for an updated, modern version—same soul, fresh perspective.

Featuring Barcelona's Giman & Chic_Ago on the remix of 'Just A Little Bit of You', these tracks reaffirm Larry Houl and Dave Kurtis talented producers in the evolving house and disco scene. Disco and Jazz-Funk producer Maryag jumps back aboard The Disco Express with his latest incarnation 'Joy Frequency'. Channeling the spirit of ‘70s disco and jazz-funk while maintaining the precision and drive of modern dance music, his latest project, 'Joy Frequency EP', takes that ethos further, offering four expertly crafted tracks designed for dance floors worldwide.

Lead track 'I Will Dance' sets the tone for the EP with pulsating bass lines, shimmering keys, and tight, rolling percussion. A hypnotic groove underpins the track, while subtle brass stabs and synth flourishes add texture. The arrangement evolves organically, balancing deep funk sensibilities with forward-thinking production.

Following suit is FIFA World Cup inspired 'Mundial'. An anthemic fusion of global influences, Brazilian percussion, Afrobeat-inspired rhythms, and funk-driven basslines, its syncopated groove builds momentum, while layered horns and electric piano riffs push the track into peak-time territory. The result is a percussive, high-energy jam built for the Summer day time joy.

Sleek, driving, and packed with tension, 'Gimme Love' leans into Maryag’s poppier side. A rich, full-bodied bass line anchors the track between vocoded hooks, delayed guitars and warm pads.The track a oozes a late-night, neon-lit aesthetic, making it equally suited for club play and home listening.

Closing out the EP, '296' is a raw, groove-heavy instrumental driven by live musicianship. A locked-in rhythm section lays the foundation for expansive solos, with saxophone and trumpet leads trading off over deep, rolling bass. The track carries a distinct live energy, capturing the spontaneity and warmth of a jam session while remaining tightly structured for the dance floor.
