back in January we were contacted by Glasgow Underground about reworking something from Romanthony’s back catalogue. Growing up in northern England in the 90s and immersed in dance music it wasn’t uncommon to hear Romanthony tracks such as Ministry of Love, Hold On or The Wanderer (Journey Man Thump) pumping from shops, passing cars or bars. Even our parents would have heard his vocal work with Daft Punk on ‘One More Time’ and knowing the labels previous Romanthony reworks from the likes of Dixon, Andres, Rob Mello, Gerd and Deetron we were interested to get involved.
 
We chose to rework Trust and got to work over the next few months. Then in May, shortly after submitting our version to the label we heard the news that Romanthony had tragically passed away at the age of just 46 from complications related to kidney disease.
 
Whilst we didn’t know Romanthony a.k.a Anthony Moor personally, losing someone - even a distant peer can really make you think, especially at such a young age. Of course the remix suddenly seemed pretty irrelevant, and we pondered with the label over what to do about it. Now over 6 months later the time feels more right and we’re happy to announce our rework will be released on 9th December alongside versions from Motor City Drum Ensemble, Freeform Five and label boss Kevin McKay. In memory of Anthony we will be donating half our royalties from this record to Kidney Research UK. Hope you enjoy...

2016 has unquestionably been another remarkable year for Polish outfit Catz ‘N Dogz. With their ‘Basic Colour Theory: Remixed’ album receiving an array of support from the industry’s leading names, the ‘Upsi Bubsi’ EP which followed in May showcased a different style of their musical prowess. The metronomic synth tone that flutters throughout is perfectly complimented by a driving 4/4 kickdrum creating yet another resounding track in Catz ‘N Dogz catalogue.

Following off from Rejected’s successful summer they have hooked yet again some fresh new talent, Dutch DJ & Producer Mulder who steps up to take his place on the labels stellar stand of releases.

Hitting off with the A Side we have Rejected’s Head Honcho Voorn stamping his style on the muscular dance floor groover “Natural high”. Accompanying the punchy kick and groovy bass we have a driving melodic rhythmic lead, which will tear down a treat for any dance floor! As we stride into our thirties, we decided it was time to commit some of our solid workouts to wax.

So first up we are putting our trust in Dutch wunderkind & raw house specialist De Sluwe Vos (The Sly Fox) and his vocal cohort Beaumont Livingstone and their roof raising anthem “Believe” which we firmly *ahem* believe is set to ignite dance floors across the world all summer long after being repeatedly road tested by T-Bone & JMX to rapturous results.

English gentleman Timmy P steps up for remix duties and splashes the lotion all over “Believe”, creating a great upbeat version to complement the brooding original with a mix that is bound to make great sense at any roof top parties.

“I.izab” completes the package with it’s dubbed out dark house vibe and John Mood turns it into a proper piece of blissed out techno with his mix which perfectly brings proceedings to a close.

We honestly reckon you may find it hard to get a better package deal than you'll get on these hot summer burners.
