After three super solid and well appreciated vinyl 12“ releases which were receiving nothing but love all over the place, have been played out on heavy rotation in clubs and at festivals and surely have been essential in shaping the relatively new Deep- / Slowhouse / (Neo)Cosmic offshoot that's not filed under a genre-defining flag yet but is partly described  as consisting  of „love songs that accidentally turned into tracks“ these days this series does not need no further introduction. 

The Stiff Little Spinners brand has grown and gained recognition on the club circuit especially throughout the past twelve months and that's why we serve it's fourth issue in a special, well chosen context of joy and celebration. 

Whilst the Audiolith mothership is turning 10 years in 2013, turning it's head into the next „Ten Years From Now“ with a special anniversary sampler LP the vinyl edition of Stiff Little Spinners Volume 4 will be included as additional bonus 12“ for this sampler and is not to be sold seperately, introducing the labels more club-focused side to all its followers. 

But now we're back to the music.

Starting the musical journey with Gimmix  „Missy“ it's pretty obvious why the trademark Stiff Little Spinners-sound goes way beyond the term of Deep- or SlowHouse as the use of tender vocal samples and heartwarming melodies with an uplifting twist on top of deepest basslines sparks nothing but innocent happiness.

Stepping forward we're running into Joney – Hamburg's uber-active jack-of-all-trades who simply states „It's Braining Schnaps And Frogs“ with his excursion into stomping, sub-driven Techno House. Aware of Sheffield's Bleeps & Clonks he easily manages to keep the drums marching straight away whilst delicate strings tell a totally different tale, reminiscing about these few calm minutes before the sun sets. These opposite sides of the story easily fall into place for good, making this brain out a very special tune for special moments.

Next up is the great Kalipo with „Perspicientia“ and the Frittenbude-trained master of analogue gear surely knows what the lovers of this series call out for. This time he's on an ever evolving, innocently (Neo)Trance-induced tip, shifting through frolicking chords and organic basslines, building layers and layers of melodies, sounds and greatly processed vocal bits, slightly referring to Future Garage musically but thrilling every floor that's based on a decent four by four. Nothing but quality in here.

Stiff Little Spinners-mastermind Krink steps up to the circuit with his instant classic „Talking“ which is paying great respect to the early days of Chitown whilst keeping the sweet functionality and maximum dancefloor effect of stripped down House Music in mind. One of these rare tracks that's totally living up to the history of House in every little detail. But still „Talking“ is way more than a pure emulation of what has been once as the man they call Krink is breathing sex and soul and love and a vision with every micro-tone included in this masterpiece.

Another uncrowned master of sweetness in dance floor music is Rampue who is exploring slightly different realms here with shuffling beats, Spanish vibes and romantic Flamenco'esque guitars embedded in a synth heavy surrounding that feels no fear of vibing of on offbeat structures and Jazz standards. “Una Bluna” is crossing borders and uniting the best of both musical worlds under one roof.

Finally Torsun Teichgräber gives us some kind of French goosebumps with his “De Plus En Plus Fort” - a lovely piano-driven affair based on highly intimate, uber-fragile female vocals that slowly are sucked in to a warm Acid (Not Acid)-flavored vision of (Tech) House that's second to none these days.

When Bondage Fairies make a name for themselves for the very first time with their very unique musical mix of punk rock, indie pop and electro-clash with 8-bit sounds in 2006 the two Stockholm based musicians are not taken really seriously by many people. Despite or perhaps because of that the band stays an insider tip at the beginning – adored by some, laughed about by others. Songs like "He-Man," "Pink-Eye Paranoia" or "Indie Girl" are developing into real Undergound hits, which fans tinker their own videos to, and publish them on the web. This creates a fan base which is small, but loyal and spread over the entire globe. Especially in Eastern Europe is developing gradually a real Bondage Fairies hysteria.

Maintained constantly and ongoing touring by the two Swedes helps more and more to get the status of a serious band. It seems as if more and more people understand that behind "Two guys with funny helmets make strange music" is way more to find than it may be assumed at first glance.

All this is proofed by the second album „Cheap Italian Wine“ released in may 2009 on the German No.1 Electro-Punk Label. The songs are diverse and suddenly some media which had ignored them until constantly start deal with the band. New songs like "Zeta Reticuli" or „nv4.dll“ find many friends quickly and fit seamlessly into the live set.

During the "Cheap Italian Wine“tour Bondage Fairies travel more kilometers than it needs for one time around the world. Nearly 100 gigs across Europe were played. Two sold out tours through Russia & Ukraine and four tours in Germany (some with Frittenbude, Egotronic, Bratze, etc..).

The experiences found here, will once again have its way in the lyrics of songwriter Elvis Creep. The pre-published on the EP track "Shocked But Not Surprised" is based for example on a show in a Russian Swingers Club and other oblique tour matches. The single "1-0" is about breaking up and what happens afterwards.

Also 2011 Bondage Fairies will keep touring constantly and conquer new countries and continents and take their to date yet-untitled album in the world beyond. First preview from this promise a veritable explosion of hits

Übersprudelnde Lebensfreude und liebenswerter Hedonismus abseits von bunten Reklame-Abziehbildchen. Die Botschaft ist klar: Lebe dein Leben so, wie du es für richtig hältst. Lass dich nicht verschlucken und verrückt machen von der Maschinerie der Anforderungen. Es geht nicht nur ums Funktionieren und Konsumieren, dein Leben besteht aus mehr als nur Hashtags. Neonschwarz können einen Sommerhit nach dem anderen raushauen - das hört man. Aber trotz Sunshine-Groove haben ihre Songs immer zu viel Tiefgang als zum Hirnabschalten gut ist. Damit muss man klar kommen. Bei aller Leichtigkeit des Songs scheint durch, dass Captain Gips, Marie Curry, Johnny Mauser und Spion Y nicht die glücklichen, gelackten Youngsters sind, die nur über ihre kleinen Problemchen singen. Hinter den Palmen der hedonistischen Oberfläche verbirgt sich ein ganzes Dickicht, das es noch zu durchqueren gilt - aber eben nach deinen Regeln. Und wenn die Tür niemand aufschließt, musst du sie eben eintreten!

Stiff Little Spinners enters it’s 6th volume with a 5 track package spanning the widest sonic spectrum imaginable. Its tracks, in typical Spinners fashion, range from r&b influenced house grooves to shimmering, broken-beat, new-age garage swing. Gimmix & Zorro prove their penchant for urban slow jams with a dance floor flavour. Their opener Oveile builds in a slow, sleazy fashion, eventually trading its more unpredictable drum arrangement for a sturdy 4/4 rhythm. The melody surges harmoniously, navigating the walls of its club-ready time signature, a phenomenal introduction to a mind-blowing collection of tracks. Rampue slows things down on the A2 with Schleiermacherstrasse; a tripped-out, hazy roller with enough chime to hypnotise an entire stadium. This is not to say Volume 6 contains big room tracks, but rather the music’s power commands attention. This is certainly true for Kalipo’s Mäusemarsch, which whirls, in mesmerizing fashion achieving a climax fit for the party at its peak. Krink’s Close Distance is perhaps the darkest sounding track offered by the Spinners - it seriousness and condensed energy is bound to leave audiences sweating, until its ferocious bassline gives way to soaring synths and jarred drums. Joney changes the formula altogether - his sophisticated K-Hole Surfers offers a chugging, dubbed out roller which owes as much to techno as it does to dubstep. It is perhaps unsurprising from the track’s title that one feels like they are riding a rather erratic wave, delving in and out of our universe. Already on their 6th volume, and churning out high-quality, club-ready tracks, this collective is set for big things.

Spending a night listening to the same music over and over again most-likely isn’t a source of joy. To prevent this particular scenario the group of DJs and producers of the Audiolith cosmos decided to delve into new musical realms. Thus the project “Stiff Little Spinners” was born, uniting the diversity of Techno and House, to create a sampler which shall display this certain diversity.
The sampler’s prelude, a soft song named “Pendelverkehr Ab Ostkreuz”, is contributed by Rampue and shines a completely new light on him. Soulful vocals and an almost dreamy sound – just the right thing to continue where one hasn’t really left off at night.
Rampue is followed by Kalipo, the new solo project by Frittenbude’s producer Jakob Häglsperger. With his song “Time Will Tell” he creates a diversified, propelling piece of music, which never happens to get boring - instead constantly maintaining its thrills.
The third track originates from Mendoza, who delivers the sampler’s peak experience for those very special moments at a club with his hybrid of Garage and House, “Hugo”.
The whole compilation is rounded off by Krinks’ “Better Than That” and Gimmix’ “Fenja” – two atmospheric tracks with beautiful background vocals, which convey the feeling to simply close one’s eyes and float away from one’s daily hustle.

But that’s not all there is to it – in the end the Stiff Little Spinners still remain hungry and thirst for more. Thus it is to be expected that Audiolith will present quite some more releases and events under the banner of Stiff Little Spinners.

On their new album Bondage Fairies from Stockholm have gained from an Electro-Duo into an unstoppable bandhitmachine. With four members, masked and on the incredible label Audiolith they fill the gap in the system of Punk, Dance and Pop. With shots and tenderness.
Bondage Fairies from the swedish capitol Stockholm do the party call. And with all that they are defintely not a subtile band. You can fastly catch their presence, you get catched by it fastly. With their half cute half scary masks they seem like extraterrestrian maniacs. Somewhere between space invaders and Zombies fallen out from South Park. Their current version of Punk drags you directly on the dancefloor - if if there is no dancefloor you just crash something to dance on it's debris. 
So far so well.
But beside that Bondage Fairies have so much more to offer as just Teenage Kicks with distorted sounds and crunchy look.Doubtless this is an instant party but this is not bottoms up! So it s about time to finally focus on the other qualities of Bondage Fairies:
01 They managed to double their band members with this album! The days of the rapid Duo-depoyment force are over. Long live the 4-piece band with rock factor instead of drumcomputers. Songwriter Elvis Creep must not play rhythm and solo guitar at once while leering on his fretboard. On top now a real drumkit is running under adrenaline during the live shows.
02 Effort! Yes yes we are here not at the liberal party, sure. But you cannot just leave this effort unmentioned. Started as a dismissed hobby project they plugged away on serious tours since 2006. But not those kind of tours your grandfather could do since Cozymozy Concerts booked them heaven on earth. Noo, Bondage Fairies plowed half Europe and way more unusual countries downside up during the last years. Everytime the venues got more and more crowded. And now, the whole thing starts to explode.
03 Audiolith! It was obvious that it would come that way. The band releases on riot-tunes' finest. Dancefloor and Punk. The label for the uprising apocalypse - from Hamburg.
04 A new record is like a new life! And this one is just called "Bondage Fairies". As known from The Beatles. The new lyrics kept their beissend irony and work up topics like New Age, icicles in the backstage, swinger clubs with dancefloors - or just tell stories about love and other ways of selfdestruction.
05 All that! The Ramones get asimilated by the Borgs on MDMA. The outcome is an act, a band, a favorite band. No bollocks! Favorite band forever!

Seitdem warten ganze Scharen auf weiteren funkelnden Stoff von Marie Curry, die es immer wieder schafft, Rapsongs zu Dauerurlaubern im Ohr zu verwandeln. 2012 heckt sie bestimmt noch weitere musikalische Streiche aus - ob mit Neonschwarz oder auf Solopfaden. And the word is that contemporary electronic club music still is in high fashion in its various facets ranging from Deep- to TechHouse, from Cosmic Disco-influences to „Electro“, NeoTrance and associated styles. All these are predominantly found on the worlds dancefloors and are becoming more and more popular in our network of friends, a musical family that has evolved from a Punk background and still is fascinated by the magic of a pumping 4-2-the-floor bassdrum, an essential momentum that never grows old.

The opener „Sonne, Park und Sterni“ is catered by long-time Audiolith-associate and family member Rampue who has been involved in musical craftmanship ever since. At the controls for Ira Atari's album, collaborational efforts with Egotronic and Plemo, several compilation features and remixes for artists like Conjure One, pandoras.box, Bratze, Supershirt, Kidstreet and others under his belt plus remarkable solo tracks on both volumes of our „Stiff Little Spinners“ series show that this man is driven by force. And so does „Sonne, Park und Sterni“ which is a sweet, melodic trip into the realms of positive TechHouse vibes, serving a seductive leitmotif and thrilling, cut-up vocal wizzardry adding a bit of extra spice to the playful loveliness that is surely influenced by Berlin's vibrant open air rave movement.

This fine EP named „Mama Was A Progrocker“ is not only announcing springtime musically but is also serving a sneak preview of what the future holds for long time fans of Rampue soundwise when it comes to forthcoming projects yet unveiled.

Delving into the realms of Slow- and DeepHouse with a warm organic feel and heavy use of multi-layered disco loops, twanging guitar sounds and carefully transformed vocal lines each and every tune contained here speaks of a deep and heartfelt love for melody, soul and romance – a tender and carressing attitude that's essential for the work of the Berlin-based producer these days.

The sound of Rampue in 2013 is not only about working intimate late night dancefloors - it's about telling love stories able to stand the test of time, it's about holding hands, breathing fresh, unpolluted air and, most of all, a unique, individual and fully shaped musical language that has matured in and emerged from Rampues studio desk throughout the past years.

Back once again here is the most fabulous... Rampue! Being referred to as one of the most promising production talents and the undisputed master of the new Romantic House movement taking over todays dancefloors our man from Berlin caters his next four piece EP under the innocence-craving name of „Lets Be Kids Again“.

Starting off with the sound of looped, campfire'esque and folk-referring guitars on top of tricky, stuttering beats the opening track „Never“ is causing a bit of confusion before transforming into the most soft-skinned piece of SlowHouse one has ever come across, featuring the most tender and fracturable female voice sampled in the history of electronic music. This one's neither a track or a song – this one's nothing but pure audio love.

Coming up next is „Sometimes“ with it's deep ambient'ish intro built of layered minor strings and a few shakers which turns into a slowly pumping DiscoFunk excess serving all ingredients for being what's to be called a late night ladies tune. Seductive vocals? Check. Chicago-referring basslines? Check. Background vocoders? Check. A groove that's hell of sexy? Double check. This one's as brilliant as Daft Punk's debut album for sure.

The title track „Lets Be Kids Again“ is on a more dancefloor demanding tip with ever echo'ing sounds, pumping drums and a special clap drive perfectly corresponding with flickering, slightly balearic guitars, tweedling violins and sweet, melancholia-infused vocals singing praise of golden childhood memories.
Finally we have „Colour Back“ which is to be referred to as the next piano driven future classic. More fragile vocals meet very unique and creative filter techniques here, hosting a thrilling scifi synth line that seems to be sprung from the ItaloDisco heydays, perfectly contrasting the organic backing with its cold and artifical vibe.

Who we are: we are a record label, like many others are, but we're a whole lot more than that. We are the baby of Lars. Lewerenz, who began to release our music, the music of his friends, his adopted family, in 2003. Which was a good decision, we've celebrated ourselves for this everywhere in the meantime. Cuz Audiolith Youth is everywhere. And we're there with it and down with it. We're coming to your town, and we're listening to what you have to say, and we'll see each other in the streets and we'll be wearing the same t-shirt. Your style is important to us, cause you like our mix. So you become part of it, cause everything fun and authentic goes, cause we're don't dig getting in trouble but rather get on parking lots. On which we rave. We drink our beer. But don't close our heads. We dance and sing songs. Cause we're way hotter than the crap they try to flog at you in Discounterland. Don't listen to them. Loosen up. Blow your mind with good music.
    
Who we are: Wir sind ein Plattenlabel, wie tausend andere auch und wir sind noch mehr als das. Wir sind das Baby von Lars. Lewerenz, der 2003 begann, Musik von uns, seinen Freunden, seiner Wahlfamilie, zu veröffentlichen. Das war gut, denn deswegen feiern wir inzwischen überall. Coz Audiolith Youth is Everywhere. Und die ist mit uns und wir unten mit ihr. Wir kommen auch in deine Stadt, und wir hören dich an, und wir seh'n uns auf der Straße und wir tragen das gleiche Shirt. Dein Style ist uns wichtig, weil du unsern Mix magst. Dann bist du mit dabei, da alles geht, was Spass macht und echt ist, weil wir nicht auf Ärger stehen, sondern auf Parkplätzen. Auf denen wir raven. Wir trinken unser Bier. Aber machen nicht den Kopf zu. Wir tanzen und singen Lieder. Denn wir sind geiler als der Scheiss, den sie dir verkaufen wollen in Discounterland.
