“The Battle”, track 9 of Teao’s upcoming instrumental album – Moment, is a musical representation of a soul navigating through “a time where suffering and ignorance is at its peak, and humans are divided and are at war”. “The Battle” sequels track 8 - “True Colors” (which represents the process of raising one’s understanding of self and awareness of the suffering of others), and is about activism in a time when the dire state of humanity is in need of a positive response to injustices impacting Mama Earth and her people.  For the track, Teao plays the violin, charango, bass, percussion, drum programming, and features a Mridunga VS Turntable battle with Vijay Krsna of Kirtaniyas and DJ Offerings (Teao’s DJ alias).  He adds vocal samples from Tupac, Charlie Chaplin, Peter Tosh, Malcolm X, and Neale Donald Walsch – author of “Conversations with God”.

This Audio Cinema is dedicated to my late grandmother Grace Wong- spiritual mother to His Holiness, the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje.

This is a sampler of the full lenght "State Of The Heart" album.  It was performed and recorded over the course of 3 days, shortly after they arrived home from their 30 day tour in North Africa and the Middle East.  Morroco- Casablaca, Fez, Mohamadia, Salé, and Meknes, then Cypress and Oman.  All samples and electronic drums were triggered live during the studio performance just as you would see them perform it during a live concert.  This is Audiopharmacy's first live studio album.  Enjoy.

Kenji 451 is an amazing producer/violinist/dj.  Hailing out of Berlin, he's been a part of the Audiopharmacy Prescriptions collective since year 2000.  Back then, him and SQU!L were making beats together under the name, Montags Dust (search the album "When Everything Burns".)  THE MEETING: DJ Werd was hosting SF artsist- Teao, E da Boss, and Sundiata on their Euro tour.  Werd made the link for Montags to help out with some extra turntables and a sampler for a Berlin show they had booked with German rapper, Flowing Immo.  In the end, Kenji451 performed violin live at the show, SQU!L triggered samples and played keys, Werd, Teao, and E da boss were on 3 turntables, S-Rock and Sundiata spit vocals.  Teao remarks..."that show was so crowded and hot, sweat was dripping off my face onto my vinyl"  To this day, Kenji has been a good friend and has played many Audiopharmacy shows in Europe, but even with open invitation, he has never made it out the bay to play.  He will continue pumping out hundreds of dope beats while confined to his studio in Berlin until we drag him out by his little mustache and put him on a plane to the BAY!  Soon come Kenji, soon come.
