The first track “Acid in my tea” is a caustic slice of wiry techno emitting an electronic buzz defined by deep rhythmic bass and floating pads to carry the track through, together with pronounced detailed broken beats giving the track an elegant edge.

“Chronic” hovers towards darker shades and mysterious synths to compliment the underlying hypnotic percussions into a trippy roller upper. A vast wall of eerie sound sculpts the framework for the title track “Cosmic Principles” assaulted by rapid-fire of percussive bangs leading unto a transcendent path of sonic manipulation. 

Fast-paced rough kicks, unique catchy synths on a bed of classic 909 sounds produced by Decoder for his remix of "Acid in my tea" celebrates the beauty of outer space, alternate dimensions, and science fiction. Wrapping up this offing with an Alexskyspirit remix for "Chronic", an ambient techno tale of a digital cyber-future showcasing ethereal dance floor weaponry for those early nights or late mornings.

Humanitarian crises and assassinations on the people of Ukraine continue on a daily basis with no sign of letting up. Civilians from across the country are dying on a daily basis without end, and millions of people have fled their homes.

We must use our voices to create widespread and sustained awareness of the situation in Ukraine, and offer help in any way we can. So we created this project as a fundraiser exclusively with artists across India who stepped up with their musical contributions for a greater cause.

All funds will be donated to UNICEF, Ukraine.

Press Release:
Midnight Traffic returns to the fort to add another string to his bow with ‘Unseen Locations’. This 5-track excursion into the realms of deep & hypnotic techno was created during the lockdown with a focal point on open-air settings. The release consists of 3 originals with his signature sound and 2 interpretations by the eminent Italian producer, Biocym. 

The title track, ‘Unseen Locations, gets the EP going with smooth, continuously undulating grooves, psychedelic themes, and haunting vocal samples that invoke a feeling of remembrance of outdoor environments. ‘Moral Perception’ advances this inspection, cementing his Goa-trance influences in a techno context, where he induces cosmic sound design, elastic rhythms, and detailed percussions, coalesced with metallic effects, fluid motifs & euphoric moments. 

The tension continues to bubble with his signature shimmering pads that take on a new context with ‘Rhythm of Rest’. What started out as an exercise in the world of VCV, results in a track that has a driving aura, laced with effervescent drones & cutting-edge rhythmic mutations. Biocym, a familiar name in the Italian deep techno circuit, joins the ensemble of music with his take on ‘Unseen Locations’ - a stern tool for any dance floor where the primordial emotive vocals take a new shape, whilst keeping the original motif intact. His second interpretation is of ‘Moral Perception’, an immediate immersion into aquatic ambiances, with captivating broken beats, metallic chirps, and intriguing waves of elements that make for a deep and eerie take on the original. 

Shaped by personal experiences and feelings of an imminent dystopian future, ‘Unseen Locations’ is a fully-formed organic evolution of Midnight Traffic’s distinctive sound. Qilla Records is an underground collective established in 2011, with the ethos of championing forward-thinking music in India. Since its inception, it has evolved into a bookings agency and events crew, leading the charge in curating transformative experiences, including its own pop-up festival - Alchemy. A decade later and with 90 releases, Qilla now has a more specific focus on Indian artists, pushing sounds of the country to a global audience and vice-versa.
