Sisko Electrofanatik returns to his label Gain Records with a new techno release in the thumping style he has showcased on other labels including Suara, JAM, Say What?, Codex, AnalyticTrail, We Are The Brave and Intec.

Based in the Italian city of Rome, Sisko Electrofanatik first made a name for himself playing in the local clubs before taking the natural step of producing his own music.

He made his first release in 2009, and his early releases charted top 10 on Beatport after picking up regular DJ support by everyone ranging from Carl Cox to Richie Hawtin. After a strong start he has continued to build momentum, and eventually started his own label Gain Records.

In addition to the solo original track “Only One”, the release also features a collaborative remix by Luca Morris & Mozzy Rekorder, who have previously worked together for releases on Terminal M, OFF Recordings, 100%Pure and Reload.

Dark with dystopian vibes and a euphoric breakdown, this high velocity techno release is perfect for peak time plays.

The original mix of “Only One” opens the release with its pounding kick drum and pulsating bassline, which is overlaid with clattering effects to deliver a tidal wave of devastating momentum.

Luca Morris & Mozzy Rekorder tackle their remix by taking an understated approach that has added atmospherics and steadily builds tension before delivering a knock out blow at the end of the main breakdown.

Tenzella provides three heaters for his debut release on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave imprint.

The UK producer kicks things off with lead track ‘Direction’, a Detroit inspired roller with intoxicating synths pads and loopy vocal.  Next up ’Dazed’, keeping things interesting with it’s clashing 909 claps and heavy rolling groove. The EP closes with ‘Blizzard’, a slice of peak time techno heaven, driven by module bleeps.

To say it’s been a rollercoaster start to the year for Simina Grigoriu would be somewhat of an understatement. Celebrating the birth of her second child back in February, whilst continuing to drop hard-hitting releases on some of the biggest labels in techno, the ever-industrious DJ, producer, label owner and mother of two somehow manages to juggle all of the above without breaking a sweat.

Hot off the back of her nostalgic single Bucuresti on her burgeoning imprint Kuukou Records (which was incidentally crowned Beatport’s Label of the Month in March 2021) the multi-talented, Berlin-based icon now continues her impressive 2021 onslaught with the announcement of her next huge EP, Sycophantic Slacker.

Due for worldwide release on Friday, April 30 via Pig & Dan’s legendary ELEVATE imprint, Sycophantic Slacker is another out-and-out master-class in driving, avant-garde techno from Grigoriu, and marks her eagerly anticipated sophomore outing on the longstanding German label, following her huge debut with Broken Royals / Fallen Guards back in 2020.

Igniting the two-part cut with the enormous opener Sycophantic, Simina goes all-in from the off, delivering a heady blend of thumping kick drums and hypnotic synth lines with a plethora of exquisitely layered samples providing both texture and intrigue throughout. On the flip, the Romanian-born starlet demonstrates her impressive production versatility with the dark finale, Slacker, as she building a slick assortment of ravey synth stabs, big basslines and frenzied percussion to close out her second EP on ELEVATE in true style.

Audio State [Elevate, Prospect, Legend] is a rising star from Romania who aims to push further the boundaries of techno music.

Sentient Beings is a typical of his talented work with rolling techno beats, pounding drums, big basslines, gliding synths and chords.

No need to give so many descriptions to the electronic music legend Hollen, who made his signature remix to the fantastic original.

And finally, Zafer Atabey made a significant support to the EP with a stylish remix. Zafer heard the original track and fell in love for the first time in a Victor Ruiz livestreaming set and convinced Audio State to make this release from the young and passionate EXTIMA together with a powerful remix adding some fury and passion to the existing heavy sentiments of the original.

Audio State 'Collaborating together was really fun and inspiring because we are best friends and we had tons of ideas for the tracks, but everytime each one of us knew when to let go and when to say something, so i would say that the process of working together was really smooth. It's fantastic to see how 2 different points of view merge together into becoming a final product. We can't wait for our next EP together.'

Unrilis is very excited to welcome for the first time Audio State and Filtrack as they make their debut EP 'Duality'.

Straight Outta Romania, we have Audio State a DJ/Producer with the aim of pushing the boundries of Techno with his unique and versatile style which combines both melodic and hypnotic. He has a rich catalog since his start on 2019 as he has released on the likes of Legend, Unity Records, Infekted and Zafer Atabey's EXTIMA.

On the other hand we have Filtrack who's just kicking off his career this year with a much darker and groovier techno, His first track release was on Tronic and then he joined AnalyticTrail for his first solo EP.

Audio State: 'Overthinker came out from our idea to make a banging tool track, hence the really big low end and nasty percussions, but as the word suggests, we overthought the track a lot and transformed it into a more of a peak time track. The vocal that we've added, only adds up to the general idea and name of the track. Trip in Barcelona, as the name suggests, was made after Filtrack's vacation in Barcelona. He fell in love with that city, as it was his first time there. When he came back to Bucharest, he wanted to make something that would remind him of that sweaty weather and the beautiful trippy architecture. So he did a hypnotic & trippy polyrhythmic synth with a huge & sweaty low-end. That's how this track was made'.
