After his debut in 2008 with the “Cypher one” EP, the Madrid-based producer Skaar strikes again with Cracking Skulls, a 5 track ep which shows different angles on production of what has been labelled as dubstep. But for this producer this label is very far from just being another trend, as for him dubstep is just a synonym for quality beats, love for bass and killer drops, but also love for melody, atmosphere and everything which makes electronic music something worth listening to.


All tracks written and mixed by Francisco Revuelta, mastering by Joe Caithness at Subsequent Mastering (Nottingham, UK). All tracks are published under a Creative Commons License.

Humano o vegetal is the ep that continues and ends the tour started with El suelo acercán- dose (avtheorem_020). Seven new passages through the unmistakable sound of the astu- rian producer Komatsu, about the natural hybridization of avant-techno and melodic IDM.
If with El suelo acercándose, we discovered a more powerful sound of Komatsu, in conti- nuous dialogue with the glitch and in a most remarkable influence of techno and hip hop sounds, Humano o vegetal find the definitive consolidation of these developments and the perfect revision through 14 tracks and two ep’s of the more precious timeless IDM in recent times.
