For 20 years UK reggae and dub pioneers, Audioweb, used to meet up and talk of what might have been. Why didn’t their blistering live shows translate to success in the charts? Why didn’t their innovative music find traction with the music press and Radio 1, the gatekeepers of British music at the time? 

They had no interest in nostalgia, they wanted to sound new by taking their influences and combining them to forge an original sound. Without conceit it was all going into the mixing pot. They were looking forward. - Then Britpop arrived and all things were seen through its lens. They didn’t fit in. But they were ahead of their time. 

Music now is anything you want it to be if you have an audience and everyone can be connected in ways that seemed unimaginable in the 90’s. Audioweb want to create (input) and want others to hear it (output). It’s always been as simple as that. 

During the summer of 2021, the 4 members of the band started sending ideas to each other. These gradually coalesced into songs and once time zones and geographic hurdles were overcome the first batch were recorded in the studio with all of the band in one place. The Input has been done and will continue to be done. The first Output is ready: Volume 1
