Christofer Kochs ist Sänger, Schlagzeuger, Songwriter und Produzent.
Seit dem Studium der Bildenden Kunst ist er freischaffend tätig und schreibt
neben seinen Ausstellungen auch Musik. Musikalisch ist er ursprünglich im Soul beheimatet, wo er für einige internationale Produktionen live und im Studio mitwirkte.

Sein nun erstes Soloprojekt entstand zu Beginn der Pandemie 2020 und wurde durch den plötzlichen kulturellen Stillsand hauptsächlich von seinem Sohn beflügelt. David Kochs, selbst ein erfolgreicher DJ und Produzent, ermunterte seinen Vater, einfach auch mal elektronische Musik aufzunehmen.

Christofer Kochs: „Ich hatte Lust darauf, mich in neue musikalische Ebenen zu begeben. Raus aus der üblichen Instrumentierung einer Band zu gehen, und andere Möglichkeiten des Songwritings zu suchen. Dabei habe ich festgestellt, dass sich neue Freiheiten ergeben, da die Art von Musik nach anderen Kriterien funktioniert. Auch wenn es nun elektronische Songs geworden sind, sind viele analoge Instrumente wie Wurlitzer, Gitarre, Toypiano und
Harp zu hören. Damit hat sich der Kreis für mich geschlossen, denn auch elektronische Musik besitzt durchaus viel Tiefgang und Seele“.

„Counterpart“ ist ein pumpender Song, der sich textlich mit Ambivalenz und Anziehung auseinandersetzt. Neben dem markanten Gesang bricht die Harmonika aus den gewohnten Songstrukturen hörbar aus. 

„Keep On“, ist eine atmosphärische Soundlandschaft die in einem entspannten Groove endet. Textlich bewegt sich der Song in der Tradition alter Klassiker von Bill Withers oder Tony Joe White. Die ewige Suche nach dem Glück und dem Ausweg aus all dem Schlamassel.

Tim Allhoff interpretiert Tobias Schmid's Club Track Acid 672 (auf der im Februar erschienenen THE FU EP) völlig neu. In einem One-Take remixte er sozusagen die minimalistische Techno Nummer mit seinem magischen Piano rework.

PLANETA is a musical collaboration between a multi-instrumentalist and a musican, choreographer and dancer. Both of them are performing at German's electro hip hop crew Deichkind. Inspired by different musical styles, they merge deep bass sounds with fragile post minimal electronica. VACATION BOYS are Michael "Lance" Schmidt, who used to play in the famous Indie Band Anajo and Tobias "FU" Schmid (part of Audision). They know each other since their childhood and life in Hamburg for years now. This remix is their first cooperation ever, made in their Studio at St. Pauli, where they moved in just recently.

Tobias Schmid produced his latest work, “The FU EP” (AND23), during the first Corona lockdown. When pandemic control measures were announced, half of Audision’s team took it lightly and thought: “It's wonderful that this pandemic falls at a time when I'm settled down enough that I don’t have to worry about the price of a bottle of red wine anymore.” He paid a visit to Jaques’ wine depot and back at home put his feet up, cranked up the Netflix machine and let himself go for a few weeks. Another thought slowly developed, too: The pandemic might also fall at a time when you can buy clones of legendary drum machines and bass sequencers for less cash – a thought that instantly inspired him. He ordered everything he needed and later picked up the Thomann packages from his neighbour. Our hero soon realised, that no viral infection had yet set in, so nothing stood in the way of letting his ideas, beats and basslines flow freely. He disappeared into the studio...

This number refers to Studio 672 in Cologne, where the legendary Total Confusion clubnights took place. Hardcore Acid purists will probably shout: “Fake!” but are quickly hooked by the autumnal strings – a Mathew Jonson and Lawrence reference from the early 2000s.

B1: Acid 672 (Tensnake Quarantine Remix)
It’s nice for Tobias that he isn’t the only one in quarantine. His buddy Marco Niemerski comes round for a glass of Bordeaux and delivers an alarmist-bouncing acid-stomper, where he filters out the bass line with a skill akin to top German virologist Christian Drosten who filters out those false positive results.

B2: Glimmer Schwarzes Kerosin 
A sizzling-spherical minimal track with skilful frequency management in the style of GAS’ Zauberberg or Jan Jelinek's loop finding-jazz-records. It’s also a reference to the Augsburg former nightlife and the clubs that died with it.
