When all was well the times were filled
Close together, a love in bloom
You gave it all as life stepped in
Chipping pieces, stagnant room.

So hard to guess where all went wrong
Little things weren't seen as clear
Within that span connection waned
Slowly losing what held here.

Once that spark has fizzled out
The cups are empty, nothing left
Subtle changes, grew apart
Until the distance swallows it.

Recall the effort, what mattered most
Talked for hours, laughed and teased
Remember when you felt as one?
Knew the meaning, aimed to please?

The fall was slow each day some more
Taking short-cuts, habits born
Her interest fades and knows not how
Time to move on, past to mourn.

Hard 808s collide with distorted riffs and infernal synths to tell a trippy, terrifying story: the rabbit hole as a metaphor for every dark path a human can take. Once inside, escape feels close… until the Evil Rabbit intercepts you. Futility sets in. Doom is imminent.
