The lyrics are a tough read. An acoustic guitar begins to do its work, setting the scene. Singer begins his journey through this forest of words. The vocals stretch out from phrase to phrase and line to line. The song shifts from a sorrowful refrain to a more descriptive and active segment. I like the contrast between the stretched words and the more closely cut words. A hard wind is blowing right here and now.
