Sounds from Sunday afternoon

Die Gemütlichkeit mag nicht mehr hinschau’n, sucht einen andren Raum. 
Planetarische Bodennebel nehmen ihr das Zielwasser aus der Hand. 
Was hat ein kleines Reich zu melden, wenn das Große sich drübersetzt? 
Wer hat Atem und Lust verbraucht, die Lebenslust? 
Wann kommt das nächste Paket?

Mein Atem läuft leer. Lässt mich füllen, nicht türmen. 
Endzeit ist, kosmische Verbrechen werden aufgedeckt.
Der Reiseplan steht. 
Sieben waren hier, verloren mein Herz, fanden es wieder, 
verschüttet, zertreten. Die Reise am Ziel: das Kind begrüßen. 
Turmkind, das die Sprache verloren hat.

Mich wählt einer aus, Ritter der Schwerter, sein Haus bunt und reich.
Bodenkrieg ist und die Schlange legt sich quer. 
Krieger, lass dein Gesicht herunter! 
Lass den Wolkenwolf, deinen Ruf, durchdringen.
Ich schreie zurück. 
Die Luft ist rein und klar, so soll es sein, dass dieser Tag zu Ende führt. 
„Aufwachen!“, liebäugelt er.

Haudegen, alter Haudegen Zeit, lohnt sich die Mühe? 
„Marmeladenbrote“ sagst du „und die Zeit wird sich selbst begrüßen“. 
Richtest den Mond neu ein. Packst dein Stiefelkleid. 
Ich kann das Geräusch nicht deuten. 
Doch! So zirpen Grillen in einer Sommernacht.

My earth dress has cracks, my feet want to go 
My steps seek their tracks, don’t find them no more  
You blow me away, world. How fast ist the show?
In some hearts I’ll remain, in some minds maybe too.
What do my breaches weigh, how much weighs time?
I’m my present to you, world, transition is never far.
After rainy times, sunshine or snow.
I’m playing ball, ball, ball, ball... letting it flow.

I don’t lose the ground, I don’t give him up.
My earth shoe binds me 
And whether a book of deeds finds me, I don’t know.
Whom do I find, reading the book so near on the brink?
Rainy times, afterwards there’s sunshine or snow.
these streets carry steps until they go.
wasting me, comping me, not keeping me safe.
No need of hoarding. A garden grows till it’s overblown.

Running off is a no go. No other solution comes to my mind.
Trusting is not always easy, and when I fall, I get up again.
The rainforest and reveries are putting me off,

Die Regenschnur, der Regenwald und Träumereien winken ab.
irgendwann endet mein Schritt, ich geh ich weiter, 
vergesse dieses Pferd, den Ritt, den Atem am Brett.

Whether I live in fullness, enthusiastic and on the trace of fun 
without considering my losses, or saving me up, 
whether I am committed, understand my heart wind – 
however, he sometimes sleeps me to the wall, 
lays me down in old grass, there I play with my fingers – 
whether I understand the way, collecting me, discipline and hope,

My foot of shards comes back to the day, 
there at home, where steps enter and leave, 
where the world meets at the station and sets out.
My heart laughs. Love, love - I love myself 
and know the air closer to the heavens. 
I trust in luck, it returns and throws me further into laughter. 
Discover the deliciousness, enjoy the secret! 
My step goes along, fills up with sun, resident on the solar road.
My house was empty and homeless. Now it fills up, filling me. 
I already see the blessings, which preceded my step. 
I see my aim on the horizon, morning-red
and turn the foot on parting, hop the low wall, 
because there is nothing more from the tower containing me, 
just a few handful of stones, stacked, 
and every breath blows them down.
Earth strength pure, my heavy foot pushs off, starts walking. 
Borderland familiar and cold night. 
I leave behind and know me free, 
free to choose everything within me and decide. 
I feel the war outworn for a long time, 
homecoming was long ago, shades passed. 
Only the rear gives stuff again. 
Now I am fit, I lean into the day, roll up my thinking, 
I lace mind, backpack and shoes, however, walking stick they are not. 
Love has chosen to meet me.

Life is a thunderstorm on swaying ground
My shoes full of holes, my legwear is worn,
the drive through wind and fog goes on.

No vehicle, on bare soil I am pushed and pulled,
spread by the wind and blown,
in all directions I escape, flee, melt away.

And now I'm quiet and empty.
I've lost and gained
I'm closer to me and near to the ground,
harkening to the rain, sifting my moods.

Hans' music and the mechanic sounding rhythmic voice transport brilliantly the spirit of the text. It was a text for a poetry slam with the topic "Consumption" and I am thankful that Hans concerned with specially this text. Licht, ein leiser Wind. 
Der Atem schmilzt.

Margeriten und mein Kinderlächeln, 
Sommer war, die Steine heiß.
Ich schnitt Puppenhaar am Morgen, 
du liefst durchs Gras.

Schau die Klage, sieh den Tanz!
Steinig ist der Weg, 
Tränenfass, das übergeht.

Was längst verweht, ist da.

Ein Lichttag weht ins Haus. 
Ein Versprechen. 
Eine Brise Tanz.

Hochzeitsmarsch. 
Die Tafel füllt sich im verlassenen Raum. 
Die das Tanzbein schwingen, feiern am Parkett.

Mich trifft dein Blick. 
Zu später Stunde tanzen wir.
Wie groß das Glück!

Dein Schritt ist nass, 
dein Kuss so kühl.

Geliebter, der auf Wellen trieb, 
dich nahm das Wasser mit. 
Mich rief die Windbraut,

Push the wall away,
that comes too close to me, binds me.
Probably rather: extinguishes ?!
Spoil of space, where nothing escapes.
Sucks, devours.
Ground fog creeping into feet and rising,
the head does not separate from itself anymore.
Am I misted? Woozy? Am I fog?
Am I the child in clouds?
My buzzard is circling,
Mood that creates my will.

Die Wand wegdrücken, 
die mir zu nahe kommt, mich bindet.
Wohl eher: tilgt?!
Flächenrausch, dem nichts entrinnt.
Saugt ein, verschlingt.
Bodennebel, der in Füße kriecht und steigt,
den Kopf nicht mehr trennt von sich selbst.
Bin ich umnebelt? Benebelt? Bin Nebel?

At the beginning there was the word, I'm not sure, but here it is. Be fantastic and ride! People around the world, artists, musicians, vocalists, participate in your own way, style and language. The idea is creating a grid, everybody can connect wherever she/he likes, at any station of the net, with his/her music and words of  love and peace, anybody can use any part of the whole and remix, develop, conbine, connect, where he wants, all is open to all - if we all make it downloadable it works. You can use my words and my translation, or not, and i would love to hear your voices, spoken, sung. and if anyone would like to read my text in English that would be lovely. the idea is: we can all be neighbours. you can choose from whom you take the last tones and to whom you bring yours'. Each part could be as short as you want, but not longer than about 2 minutes. So at the very beginning there are my words, but then the beginning can be anywhere. you should make a decision, but you look elsewhere,
you don't want to see the hatchet come.
What is? Do you want to fall? Take flight?
What makes the throat tight? What claws your heart?
"Okay," they want to hear, everything is supposed to be alright
you're supposed to be nice, they want you nodding,
friendly smiling facing the precipice
and you look elsewhere, sitting up on the mountain,
the garden gnome keeps you in prison.

Come to a decision! Don't you wanna end your prison?
Come to a decision! Do you wanna end your prison?

You don't say what you want, because you don't want anymore.
Your words hollow and banal. Singsang of words.
You should speak of intuition, of dying,
of trust and hope. Of love. Of strategies
and what really concerns you:
the isolation, forgiving and thanking.

Worddead, because there are no words available,
all already used, already installed,
stumble towards hell,
because all through the dirt, burned by the sun
because everything has already been said, right down to the coffin,
because your body is a suitcase that you unpack or not

Aufbruch! Was war, fällt ab. Knöpf’ meinen Kragen auf.
 Zieh’ die Weste aus, an der noch Land hängt. Warte ab.  
Was klammert, saugt, in Zaum hält, bröckelt und springt. 
Mein Schneckenloch, mein Honigfuß, mein Schritt ins Leere  
und endlich Fall, Bruch, Sturz … und Landen!

Departure. What was, falls off. Unbutton my collar.
Take off the vest with land still hanging on it. Wait.
What clings, sucks, bridles, (now) crumbles and cracks.
My snail hole, my honey foot, my step into the void …
And finally fall, break, plunge ... and landing!

Neubeginn verschieben, unendlich lang?
 Das Ende aufzäumen, und den Anfang aufspüren? 
Erfüllung vorwegnehmen?
 
Postpone a new beginning, infinitely long? 
Bridling the end and tracking down the beginning? 
Anticipate fulfillment?

Schnipp’ die Leine durch, lass Haus und Hof 
und was ich schuf, rollt durch den Kopf. 
Dreh' mich aus dem Schleiertanz.
Spann' meinem Wagen andere Pferde –  
höher geht’s und weiter!
Sonnenfahrt!  Der Täuschung abschwören - 
Wütend platzt mein Innerstes und gibt frei: 
Anemone, Traumpferd, das ein Holzbein schwingt.
 Am goldenen Wagen im Sturmwind treiben –

Nichts da, nur Lederhaut an Sohlen und Schwielen.

und schwimme zurück, dorthin wo ich bin.  
Fisch sein! Springen! Am Ufer lachen sie
und manchmal hält das Fischmaul die Trommel an  
und hört Sirenen singen.

Dream my river from the beginning to the end
and swim back to where I am.
Being fish. Leaping. On the bank they laugh.
Sometimes the fish's mouth stops the drum,
hears sirens singing.

Wir müssen diesen Platz verlassen,
so schnell wie möglich unsern Kopf vergessen,
 der benommen Geschichten schwatzt, vergisst.  
An Scheiben rinnen Tränen. 
Was befürchtet war, wird wahr, vergeht.  
Am Weg besteht, was ist.

Mich nicht messen an anderen, mich nicht missen! 
Nicht verkaufen, dem Anderssein weglaufen!  
Mich am Fluss einfinden, wer ich war, wer ich bin,

Lass’ mich nicht hängen und bis zum letzten Tag warten, 
bis ich mein Blut abgebe und mein Gesicht sich ins Tuch drückt.
Nicht bücken und suchen, mich zwischen Spuren verfluchen. 
Das Ziel sehen, nahe bei mir:  
Ich bin Traube. Ich bin Straße. Ich bin Mensch.

Not leave me hanging, waiting until the last day,
until I give up my blood and press my face into the cloth.
Not bend down and search, curse myself between tracks.
See the goal, close to me: I am grape, I am street, I'm human.

3 Schnipp die Leine durch (eXner / Augenmerk)

The project is a collaboration with Jan Exner @exner from 2016. We divided the poem "Aufbruch" into six parts. With music and sounds Jan created a fascinating acoustic imagery. Lets go ⇢

Aufbruch
1 
Aufbruch! Was war, fällt ab. Knöpf’ meinen Kragen auf.
 Zieh’ die Weste aus, an der noch Land hängt. Warte ab.  
Was klammert, saugt, in Zaum hält, bröckelt und springt. 
Mein Schneckenloch, mein Honigfuß, mein Schritt ins Leere  
und endlich Fall, Bruch, Sturz … und Landen!

Departure. What was, falls off. Unbutton my collar.
Take off the vest with land still hanging on it. Wait.
What clings, sucks, bridles, (now) crumbles and cracks.
My snail hole, my honey foot, my step into the void …
And finally fall, break, plunge ... and landing!

Neubeginn verschieben, unendlich lang?
 Das Ende aufzäumen, und den Anfang aufspüren? 
Erfüllung vorwegnehmen?
 
Postpone a new beginning, infinitely long? 
Bridling the end and tracking down the beginning? 
Anticipate fulfillment?

Schnipp’ die Leine durch, lass Haus und Hof 
und was ich schuf, rollt durch den Kopf. 
Dreh' mich aus dem Schleiertanz.
Spann' meinem Wagen andere Pferde –  
höher geht’s und weiter!
Sonnenfahrt!  Der Täuschung abschwören - 
Wütend platzt mein Innerstes und gibt frei: 
Anemone, Traumpferd, das ein Holzbein schwingt.
 Am goldenen Wagen im Sturmwind treiben –  
den Füßen fehlt Boden, den Händen fehl'n Sprossen. 
Nichts da, nur Lederhaut an Sohlen und Schwielen.

Snap the leash, leave house and yard
and what I created rolls through my head.
Turn me out of the veil dance.
Bring other horses to my carriage -
Higher it goes and further! Sun trip!
Renounce deception -
Enraged my innermost bursts and releases:
Anemone, dream horse swinging a wooden leg.
Floating on the golden chariot in the storm
and the feet are missing ground, the hands are missing rungs,
nothing there, just leather skin on the soles and calluses.

Träume meinen Flusslauf vom Anfang zum Ende
und schwimme zurück, dorthin wo ich bin.  
Fisch sein! Springen! Am Ufer lachen sie
und manchmal hält das Fischmaul die Trommel an  
und hört Sirenen singen.

Dream my river from the beginning to the end
and swim back to where I am.
Being fish. Leaping. On the bank they laugh.
Sometimes the fish's mouth stops the drum,
hears sirens singing.

Wir müssen diesen Platz verlassen,
so schnell wie möglich unsern Kopf vergessen,
 der benommen Geschichten schwatzt, vergisst.  
An Scheiben rinnen Tränen. 
Was befürchtet war, wird wahr, vergeht.  
Am Weg besteht, was ist.

Mich nicht messen an anderen, mich nicht missen! 
Nicht verkaufen, dem Anderssein weglaufen!  
Mich am Fluss einfinden, wer ich war, wer ich bin,
im Zwischenraum die Zwischenfrau. 
Den Mädchentraum beenden,
den Zeitraum größer drehen und kleiner,
 Schritte sehen, die fest am Boden.
Ich war weg und komme wieder.

We have to leave this place,
as soon as possible forget our head 
who gossips stupid stories and forgets. 
Tears run down the panes. 
What was feared will come true and pass. 
On the way persists what is.

Not compete with others, not miss me,
not sell myself, nor run away from being different.
Find myself by the river, who I was, who I am,
in the interspace the interwomen.
