Recorded at practice space in Struthers, Ohio in 1998.  As I recall, the space was owned by an elderly engineer of sorts. I think Mark even lived there for a while. Recorded using a boom box set up in the corner of the room.  Sounds like it was recorded for the sake of seeing if we "got it" or not.  "We" being Junction 7.  No vocals. I was going to tag Prince as it is a cover of song of his and it was a Prince discussion that prompted the search for this.....but I didn't.


Junction 7 - Computer Blue Instrumental

Not sure if this even qualifies as a song. This was done under the Pond Puppets umbrella in 2009.  A friend (who happens to be a fantastic photographer and drummer) posted a short video of him playing the drums on Facebook.  As a gag of sorts, I ripped the audio from the video he posted, looped a few portions, added sounds, samples, and some guitar and this was the result.  The "ha-tcha!!" is a written form of one of Bruce Lee's many Kiai (気合).  Rip-offs are amok with this one.

Pond Puppets - Kung Fu Ha-Tcha!!

Lyrics written after a trip to Baton Rouge, LA.  Improvised the banjo line (which obviously loses some tempo in the beginning which I apologize for being too lazy to re-record) recorded and just built on that on 4/13/08. The drum beat that's buried in the mix is a sample from Mary Mary.  The intro sample is from an Old Spice commercial which featured the incomparable Bruce Campbell. Pond Puppets - Plastic Creole Cup

This was one of a handful of post-Junction 7 songs that my friend Mark and I wrote and recorded and then forgot about.  from 1999? 2000?.  At any rate, I liked the guitar solo.  I don't think we ever actually named it.  My first attempt at transferring to a digital format from a cassette tape.

Pond Puppets - Emperor's New Clothes

Another post-Junction 7 recording.  As I recall most of it was parts Mark had.  Traded off writing stanzas.  I like the quartal harmony bits on the guitar. The lyrics still make me giggle. from 2000-ish.

1996-ish.  Recorded in my parents' basement.  One of the funner Moons songs to play.  Most of our stuff was all over the place but this one even more so. Not a dance number.  

Moons of Meepzorp - Las Langostas estan Aburridos

Collaborative email song.  Bob had the basic idea, sent to me, I added stuff, sent back, he added stuff, etc.  This was loads of fun.  From 2008 I believe.

Recorded in 1995 in my parents' basement by Andy Conrad.  This was a staple. written mostly if not entirely by Paul.

Moons of Meepzorp - Wind over mountain

Guitar player of sorts originally hailing from Austintown, Ohio.  Currently residing in the Akron area.  Collaborated and played with various groups over the years which all included SUPER talented folks.  Some of the groups included: Moons of Meepzorp (mostly instrumental weirdness. mid to late 90s), Junction 7 (a little more mainstream-ish, fronted by songwriting behemoth Brian Bacon in the late 90s), Mustache Petes (me and the super talented Bob Smith. Consisted solely of emailing song parts to one another. 2008-ish), and others who are noted on each track.  Currently playing under the nom de plume "Pond Puppets".  Posted a lot of older stuff on here for nostalgia's sake.  I'll take songwriting credit for the Pond Puppets stuff which is all post 2005-ish.  Other material was too long ago to remember who came up with what.  My hope is to continue to write, continue to record, and share some.
