'Young Lights' tells the story of finding a sense of belonging by trusting new feelings and experiences. The idea that young, not yet widely traveled lights are closer to the present, and therefore closer to the now, shines throughout the song. Through deep philosophical conversations, we discovered that waiting for a sense of home is futile—true home is found by making the moment your home.

Au Gres (aʷ grā) was conceived, like many of us, in a bedroom, on a flimsy desk, with unimpressive equipment. Now reimagined; out of Adrian, Michigan at the Social Recording Company (Michigander, Leland Blue, Stay Outside), Au Gres exists to bring ever-changing perspective to the indie pop genre. 

Together with elements of indie rock, lo-fi and synth pop, Au Gres is the project of Michigan native Joshua Kemp. Kemp went to business school and had a marginally good time. Despite the joys and security of a corporate life, Kemp found himself drawn to more internal and artistic pursuits.
