1st mixtape of the Mawja Project, coming with one different variation all along the year.
"Mawja" means wave in Darija (Moroccan Arabic dialect), which reflects the seamless movement and peaceful vibe of this serie. 
The Odyssey is the journey this mix takes you just as far as a wave could - from your cosy sofa or your sunny beach.

Chief Boima and Foreigner are back with a collection of edits for the dance floor, this time alongside Southern California-native of Nigerian origin, Tomi Tribe. This collection is in celebration of the Cali Quilombo tour hitting 3 dates across the state in late March 2019. Visit INTLBLK.com for show details. 

Cali Quilombo is a collection of edits of hits from the African diaspora, done from a California frame of reference. The concept behind the series is the idea of transposing an Afro Brazilian Quilombo to a state full of rich histories of Black peoples struggling for self-determination. The quilombos of Brazil also serve as a guide for the artistic philosophy behind INTL BLK.

Yansh Stroke (Foreigner X Chief Boima Remix)

After the great feedback and club-play of their Man Recordings debut EP, Polish-Angolan duo Lua Preta return with a severe European remix package of "Cabeça Na Lua" and "Passado" ft. Kevin.

New rising Afro bass artist Rolv.K from Geneva presents the first rework in this remix package and adds catchy melodic components to the slick original track of "Passado". Milan´s Ckrono, who recently debuted on Mad Decent with his MC Bin Laden collabo, puts Cabeça Na Lua on the São Paulo baile funk map, a seductive, minimalist version that will make booties on the dancefloor go bum bum tam tam.

Bristol´s Boa Kusasa twisted "Cabeça Na Lua" into a version in which UK bass hits up on Afro percussions. And finally Lisbon´s Studio Bros who present "Passado" ft. Kevin in a deep Afro house fashion.

To put it short, the "Cabeça Na Lua Remix" EP is a perfect set of tracks for your Afro DJ folder selection!

Joa Sopacua also known as August Mae, is an Moluccan Dj/musician/Producer From Amsterdam. His indescribably love for music lead him to making music as a Young boy. With his father playing the guitar, and his mother beeing a singer, its not strange that he grew up with music and playing instruments such as the guitar and piano as a kid. Coming from a church going household, he was raised with music genres as: Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B and hip hop (90’s) etc.

You can hear a lot of musical influences in his productions. From R&B to Future, From Soul to Baile funk, and everything that’s in between, or even fused together.
He is Always looking for new sounds, to make music with or to combine.
