Young, rising Dutch artist Nachtwaker - @nachtwaker-143710920 - makes his debut on Knowledge Imprint with a mature, sci-fi techno expedition with tools for any time of the night.

Opening the EP is ‘Remind Me Again’, a slow building composition that eventually leads into an off-kilter beat with dark, hypnotic undertones and swirling hats. With similar characteristics comes ‘Valid Request’, albeit this time with a classic undulating four-to-the-floor pattern which closes out the A-Side trip. 

‘Currents’ picks up right where the A-Side left off. Maintaining the brooding energy, this track turns up the dial for the peak time with panning synth stabs and driving rhythms. ‘Chromatic Pulse’ is likewise centred on galloping synth stabs, but this time employs a hip-shaking low-end groove to round out the EP out on a high.

Primrose
Characterized by a looped phrase of beautiful piano sounds, this track fuses skillfully constructed rhythms with a powerful low-end to create a deep sense of immersion. The repeated phrases gradually build an uplifting feeling, crafting a strong and vivid sonic world.

Kiri
A minimal groove formed by the interplay of three distinctive tom phrases leaves a lasting impression. Despite its simplicity, the track unfolds with depth, creating a unique flow on the dancefloor.

Aster
An aggressive bassline combined with percussive techno elements makes a striking impact. Toward the end, FM sounds intertwine with a wavering main synth line, producing an unparalleled sense of exhilaration. This energetic track shines with its creative and distinctive approach.

A luxurious remix by Jack Fresia, of Amsterdam’s.While retaining the original’s aggressive elements, the remix incorporates unique short breaks and a highly danceable drum track, directly striking the dancefloor and delivering an overwhelming sense of immersion.

Antarctic
Included as a bonus track, Antarctic is an alternate version of Northpole, featuring a danceable yet catchy melody. Its hypnotic phrases and deeply immersive soundscape evoke a desolate world reminiscent of the extreme natural environment of the Antaric.

TENO, a DJ/producer currently based in Osaka, has been making a strong impact on the scene in recent years through both his DJing and production. His DJ sets create a deep sense of immersion with a danceable and groovy techno sound, driven by powerful rhythms ranging from minimal and downtempo to straight techno, elevating an organic consciousness. His sound is always precise yet fluid, shaped by a unique and flexible approach that engages in a dialogue with the audience, filling the space with a distinctive presence. Through numerous podcasts and live performances, he continues to solidify his identity, delivering moments that leave a lasting impression on those who experience them.

As a producer, they have released music on various labels worldwide, including Newrhythmic Records, Room Trax, MZR Records, TNR Media, and Reverse. They became the first Japanese artist to release an EP album on Spain’s renowned Newrhythmic Records, a pioneer in the electronic music scene. This achievement was featured in the international media magazine Vicious.
Additionally, through their techno label Aum Recordings, founded in Osaka, they released an EP featuring a remix by Polygonia, a Munich-based artist. The following year, they released their first vinyl record, featuring a remix by Wata Igarashi, one of Japan’s most highly regarded DJs.
In February 2025, they established their second label, Monos, and released two consecutive EPs, Violet EP and Primrose EP.
Their mixes have also been featured in DJ streaming sessions at SUPER DOMMUNE in Shibuya, as well as on international podcasts and platforms such as MARRON’s Eerste Communie (scheduled for May 2025), IO, Nebuleus, Reverse, Tensione Collective, and CONCEPTUAL VIOLENCE. Their diverse musicality and consistently solid performances have earned them high acclaim both domestically and internationally.
