@rupertdarley is a Melbourne based Producer and one of the faces behind Aura. His flow has grown from a wide variety of sounds, from Progressive Techno and Hypnotic/Melodic Techno to Electronica, Dub Tech, Dub and Reggae. His set provides a unique journey moving through different atmospheres and textures with rolling bass rhythms keeping listeners on their feet.

He started producing in 2015 and the last EP called "Axis EP" is released on Systolic Records.

@dane-frey is a Dj born and raised in Melbourne, but with a worldly taste in music that extends back 25 years to a time when he would sneak records from his Dads extensive collection to listen to in secret. 

Falling between the cracks of hypnosis and mechanical, Dane’s sound is complex, cerebral and at times destructive, believing in a rougher fusion of tracks rather than subtle mixing. 

Using a singular narrative or emotion when constructing his sets, Danes preference is create tension and release for his audience, through a labyrinth of layers and detail.

@me_dha developed a passion for technoid music early on. "When body and hearing become one, that is the most beautiful feeling there is". Influenced by the Berlin and Leipzig culture and club scene she expresses this passion through concise basslines, impulsive rhythms and repetitive sounds. The hypnotic sounds create an endless drive that always aims to get listeners dancing. She has also been an integral part of the PVC collective for over two years.

An electronic music duo from Macedonia, currently based in Skopje. The name Binary Thoughts may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within.

The ancestral way of thinking has always been 'binary'. To understand nature and all its phenomena, we made a world of oppositions (day/night, sun/moon, male/female). Where the law of "all or nothing” rules, there is no in-between. But the reality is indeed always more complex and more interconnected than what our 'perception' of the world suggests.

This perception beyond this “all or nothing” connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they've decided to do a project that will connect their somewhat different but similar taste in electronic music.

Their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use 'binary thinking' as a motor to press on to a third term or a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary: Yin and Yang.

Currently, they are exploring the vast horizons of deep and hypnotic soundscapes intending to create their unique blend of creativity to start producing their music.

Hailing from Melbourne's west Naturæ is the moniker of Simon Miscevic. Having been exposed to electronic music in his early teens which naturally became more profound in adulthood. 

Delving into all facets of electronic music growing up and Melbourne's party scene evidently made Simons path clear about wanting to Dj and explore the world of electronic music further.

Born into a naturalistic growing cycle into the unknown of infinity, the artist appropriates emotions and is consistently on a quest for ultimate reason.
His taste for risk-taking and the unexplored naturally ensures he has an intimate relationship with abstract art.
Considering repetitive rhythms with slight, but powerful, variations as a means of transcendence, his emotional approach is sensitive - filling up emotions to their absolute tipping point so that it speaks directly to the subconscious. 

Inspired by the nature of man and its clear impact on the environment, this artist builds an ideology of matter through sound. Developing a deep aversion to monotony, Rolphëus  explores the flavours of the world guided through a frantic, yet controlled, instinct.

@Juancampostechno is a Spanish DJ and producer, from Jaén.
His interest in electronic music begins at a very young age and he started to experiment with turntables and mixers.

Juan Campos’ constantly evolving sets span several branches of techno, from hypnotic and mental, to industrial and modular, Juan is also very productive as a producer.

His tracks have been published on national and international labels such as Induxtriall Records,Combine Audio, Trau-ma, Drvms Ltd, Corpus Black among others.

@eafhmlive is a multidisciplinary project created recently by the evolution of different artistic and exploratory stages.

This project has developed different facets, including a career as an interpreter and audio producer when experimenting with a wide variety of musical sequences. It seeks the integration of oscillating interpersonal ideas among the variety of solid conceptions. This project also defines the transformation of the artist that has developed under different aliases for many years.

Each interpretation is made to create an atmosphere based on sound art, generative art and Techno in its different variations.

Originally from a metalcore and hardcore background he has always enjoyed electronic and experimental music. Heavily influenced by this and the techno scene in Leipzig, Germany with its well known Institute fuer Zukunft his focus are impulsive rhythms, dissociative sounds and dark and eerie atmospheres. As a founding member of PVC he is also co-organising raves in clubs and woods around the Leipzig area. For a few years now he has been exploring the world of producing. Releasing on Labels like Aarden Records, Crescent London, Further Sessions, Proselytizing or Charybdis he is establishing himself in the scene always seeking to refine his sound.

In the nineties a move to the UK came as a consequence of his studies and with him a pulsating eagerness which helped Lateral Movement to dive right into the local music culture, effervescent as ever. There he meandered effortlessly through genres, taking him deeper into the arts whilst aiding his curiosity, from free jazz to indietronica. Returning to his homeland, Portugal, subtracted him from this rich diversity and forced him to become a strong supporter of the alternative scenes, where he looked to push people and projects that shared his values and vision. There and then he decided to embark on a different kind of journey and took upon himself the responsibility of discovering new music and to share it with the community. To this day techno and its many guises are his passion, especially the deeper and hypnotic realms, where ambience and atmosphere play the main role.

@ayyy14 A14 (Arlo Lewis) has lived in inner-west Naarm his whole life. With a heavily acoustic family background and a love for hip-hop and electronica, Arlo quickly gravitated towards various sub-genres of techno through attending local raves and meeting like-minded people.

The sonic capabilities of techno will never cease to amaze Arlo, this has brought him to the powerful, atmospheric left-field sound he pushes today. As A14 refines his production craft, he is consistently finding and sharing new music to the scene he has utmost love and appreciation for.

Shelley has been making a name for herself since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun. 

Known for her deep hypnotic sets, filled with organic sounds and dubby atmospheres, Shelley left her mark on such platforms as Diffuse Reality, Indefinite Pitch, Obscure Sorrows Records, Codecast or Deepinic to name a few. She is also mixing her own mix series called Secret Place available on her SoundCloud.

Capodanna is an Oslo based Dj, but feeling at home on the road. She has always been extremely passionate about music, and knew she wanted to express herself through it! She published her first set in January last year, followed by a few more during the year. The first set's she published was through her own channel, but ending the year with a guest podcast for Dazedspoon, and starting the year with a podcast for Charybdis.

She takes you from the deepest roots of tribal through infinite space with hypnotic and mesmerizing sounds.

Matt Radovich (Melbourne TECHNO Collective/ Stable Music)

Matt Radovich aka Mike Hunt has been a main player in Melbourne’s dj circuit for years. With 30 year’s experience DJing all over Victoria and being featured at some of the major parties and clubs throughout Melbourne.

Matt Radovich is one of the founding members of the Infamous MTC Crew (Melbourne Techno Collective). MTC have been a corner stone in the Melbourne techno scene and have been running for over 19 years now. Matt has then gone onto support the likes of Aphex Twin, Laurent Garnier, Juan Atkins, Orbital live, Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline (Underground Resistance), Jeff Mills, Derrick May, Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Surgeon, Planetary Assault System Live, Speedy J, Ben Sims,

Ranjit Nijjer.

With over 17 years experience in all things Techno in Melbourne, Australia, Ranjit Nijjer has truly carved out his own unique piece of the city’s landscape as a promoter, DJ and more recently as a producer. His even my Technoir has become an institution in Melbourne; an important Techno destination over its life of over 17 years, showcasing home made talent from across the full spectrum of Techno.
Ranjit’s DJ sets are full of energy and a delicate intensity, as he expertly layers and weaves high volumes of tracks to create a truly distinctive dance floor experience for Techno fans both young and old.
Whether it is deep, hypnotic, ethereal rhythms or relentless, pounding harder sounds (often tinged with his special brand of funk), Ranjit gives the dancefloor and the listener his all.
This passion and care has seen Ranjit consistently booked around town for many years now, including several appearances at the acclaimed Rainbow Serpent Festival.
2020 saw Ranjit begin releasing his own music, with multiple EPs on Australian Techno imprint ‘Machine’ and very quickly he has found himself with tracks on labels around the world. 
2022 has even seen the release of his debut LP ‘Echoes In Time’ on Spanish label ‘Diffuse Reality’.

Februari 

Februari is a Swedish dj with Latin American roots and a huge passion for hypnotic, ambient deep techno inspired by Linny Hex, Polygonia, Forest on Staysys and Claudio PRC. In 2017 she started her journey as a dj focused on industrial techno and later she travelled through various subgenres and currently resides in the realms of minimal house, indie dance and deep techno.

First up we introduce one of our local boys, Lucky. Lucky is a drummer/percussionist from Melbourne. After many years in the live music scene, his love for techno began when he noticed similarities in the ways rhythms interact. Exploring a more textural and rhythmic approach, his sets aim to provide an energetic flow and steep sound.

Mela Coia is the musical expression of the partnership between Brendan Ruys and Tyla Bryden. Together they traverse the realms of deep, hypnotic and soulful techno in a way that is dynamic, emotive and emanates flow. The harmonious interplay of their two energies leave their audience struck with an impression of balance, connection and cooperation not often experienced on a dance floor. 

Recorded as Melbourne went into lock-down for the second time and the dance floor fading into distant memory, this mix is deep and introspective to reflect the times that we are living.

Irrespective of their place on the running order, Tom Szabo & Brayden Warburton of Melbourne based duo fütwerk continue to demonstrate a remarkable ability to impress.

Known for impeccable track selection and an uncanny ability to connect to a crowd the duo have earned the attention and respect of the electronic music community, solidifying themselves as a pioneering force in Melbourne’s deep techno movement.

The last three years has seen some noteworthy career highlights. These include support sets for musical inspirations Deepbass, Matrixmann and Etapp Kyle, whilst also performing at Burning Seed, Rainbow Serpent and Wildwood.

Long-term lovers of electronic music, their voyage into production has drawn heavy sonic influence from their natural surroundings, as well as those more reminiscent of the cosmos and all its wonders.

Connor Wall is an up and coming Dj/Producer from Melbourne’s west.                      Over the past year, he has showcased his broad musical grooves around Melbourne. Demonstrating a wide array of techno to his audience, Connor focuses on a driving energy in his sets.

Liam ( Commodus of Rome), multi disciplinary artist residing in Melbourne, Australia. He is drawn to the depths by hypnotic rhythms, lucid soundscapes and driving primal energy that transcends into deep techno. Liam is not limited to only finding inspiration through sound but also through sight. The coldness of an empty forest smothered by fog or the angst that compiles brutalist architecture.

Ever since being introduced to the ethereal atmospheric sounds of Deep Techno, Ripplefactor has been on a quest to explore the genre much in depth. Through this journey he has been able to connect with like minded people and artists who have inspired him to sculpt a narrative style which he tries to portray through his mixes. Believing that music is created as a resonance of what we perceive from around us, he is forever on the look out for inspiration from nature, abstract architecture and mystifying art. Driven by what inspires him, he endeavours to delve into more experimentation with his upcoming projects.

E V E (Eve Bell) is a Melbourne based DJ and co-founder of Melbourne Based techno collective ‘Aura Productions’. Eve assisted in co-creating the ideas and sound the make up Aura Productions through her love of electronic music, art, and the Melbourne music industry. Eve’s style focusses on deep, drivey bass lines and hypnotic rhythms while she explores different sub genres of techno.

Apsarah discovered her creative passion for music in her youth, inspired by the thriving techno scene in Germany. Over the years she shaped her own style of dark, deep and hypnotizing techno. Exploring the depths of sounds created a way of expressing herself. Carefully curating each of her sets, she delivers diverse and captivating journeys. 

Apsarah came across the music scene in Australia and soon found herself a spot in Melbourne.  While Apsarah played at most clubs in and around Melbourne, playing outdoors and being able to connect music with nature has always been her favorite. Being part of the collective Savage Art Productions, she has contributed to festivals like Burning Seed and Burning Man. Diving deep into the abyss of music, she has also started her journey into music production.

Nina (DJ alias иιиιт'α, soundcloud: soundcloud.com/ninitia), who is self-taught, came of age in the male-dominated early 90's rave scene, has been heavily influenced by the deeper sounds of techno, poly-rhythmic electronic music and most things unconventional. Nina, who views the art of mixing as a spiritual practice that seeks to "balance relationship to mind and body, "prefers private parties to clubs/bars where the dancing is louder than the conversation. She seeks to "reinvent the club scene to promote listening and dancing through connection and somatic awareness rather than an unconscious escape." Her sets lean in the direction of hypnotic, telling the story of the moment, often with a dark and moody undertone that reveals splashes of light and space to feel. A life-long dancer, Nina views music as a portal into a web that connects her to everything.

Ersin (ersin-boncaoglu) is a DJ based in Izmir, Turkey. He's been playing music since the early 2000's. He explores a wide variety of sounds within the realms of ambient techno. In this mix he delivers an ethereal set that weaves effortlessly between a wide range of textures, psychedelic rhythms and heavy techno kicks.

Ersin recently contributed mixes to several underground podcasts series such as the excellent Oslated (oslated), IO (iorecs) and Aarden Records (aardenrecords).

Aura is a music collective based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Though striving to facilitate in developing Melbourne’s burgeoning creative scene by providing a public platform through which local and international artists can showcase their talent. Aura sound stems from the deeper parts of techno focused primarily around hypnotic textures. With a new label launching this year, Aura wishes to broaden this sound and shape it into its own through deep melodic/hypnotic and natural textures with progressive rhythms.

Aura team has been a commitment to supporting our community through philanthropic initiatives. One such initiative has been our weekly podcast series commencing early last year, which is oriented towards aiding disadvantaged groups that have been adversely effected by the unique exigencies associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The series has currently raised over $3,000 for a variety of charities chosen by members of the Aura team, ranging from the Starlight Foundation, the Melbourne City Mission, and Beyond Blue. The Aura team will ensure that all proceeds derived from forthcoming podcasts, events, and records will continue to be used in a manner that gives back to the community in which we love, promoting both the Melbourne art industry and salient social causes we care deeply about.
