Up next in the mix series, we have Modlar delivering an hour of relentless groove! 

The Italian born DJ/producer and sound engineer has become a well-known figure in London for their skills behind her decks, but also through their commitment to building community around the music. As co-founder of @Glitchtopia_ , Modlar promotes local queer, FLINTA and POC artists as well as creating a platform for dancers to bring their unique styles to the floor. There is a strong sense of community around their movement, and they make sure to provide opportunities to artists who are just starting their journey through their open decks events and other initiatives. 

In terms of their own style, Modlar’s sound has been on a journey but ultimately landed somewhere that fits very much into our vision for Fragment so we are super happy to have her as part of the series. This mix is packed full of energy, animalistic and primal sounds, but with a continuous rhythm that will keep you moving! Keep an eye for this artist as they continue on their journey through sound.

Fresko is a Lisbon-based producer and DJ recognised for his forward-thinking take on techno. His discography includes vinyl releases on Hayes Collective and Planet Rhythm, alongside recent works on BCCO and NRBK, all marked by a distinctive sound signature. His productions merge psychedelic depth with a cinematic sense of space, drawing on techno’s past decades to create something unmistakably his own. Each release builds his reputation for tracks that balance atmosphere and drive, resonating both on the dancefloor and beyond.

As a DJ, Fresko brings this vision into dynamic sets that weave together past and present. With a dramatic narrative at their core, his mixes open in cinematic depth, rise through cathartic peaks, and close in a psychedelic mood that echoes the beginning. "This set is about creating an immersive journey through my personal interpretation of techno. I wanted to start strong right from the beginning with a powerful bassline that immediately sets the tone. Following this, the phenomenal sounds of Alarico and Rødhåd come in to shape the pace and energy I wanted to build.
I always aim to include sharp, cutting sounds combined with deep and driving basslines to keep the mix dynamic and intense. At the same time, I make sure there is always a melodic thread to follow so the flow never breaks and the emotions stay connected. Melodic techno influences from Heiko Laux, DJ Dextro, the subtle percussive elements from Ignez, the unique sound design of the infamous ociralA, and tracks such as “Microdose” by PJJSB complete the journey perfectly.
For the first time on SoundCloud, I have included my own track “Gospel” exclusively within this mix, alongside “Ras Dashen”, which holds a very special place for me.
I wish you a wonderful journey through the spheres of my interpretation of techno and hope you enjoy this ride as much as I enjoyed creating it."
