Well well well. Haven't posted anything in a long time, let alone a mix! But this one felt a bit too special to not put out there :) recorded live from a field somewhere near salisbury, at the festival called kyberdrop, upon the closing slot of Friday night.

The set contains a bunch of my own bits, there are in fact, a bunch of songs written for this exact set, with a storyline woven in there! it unfolds over an hour and tells a tale about dancing, revolution and the power of unity. Keep an ear out.

“Shifting” is a liquid drum & bass track that draws on early-2000s jungle aesthetics and the timeless influence of Kruder & Dorfmeister. The UK imprint is clear in the groove and structure, while the sampling reflects a deep passion for jazz textures and atmospheres. The title “Shifting” mirrors the idea of constant transformation — musical, emotional, and personal — where fragments move and reassemble into new forms.

Aurality started his obsession with music from an early age, learning the piano and guitar as a child. Throughout his teen years being mostly exposed to rock, punk, emo & metal he started to form a love of the heavier side of music. When he left school in 2006 he was introduced into the UK free party scene and started discovering all kinds of new genres of electronic music and was told that he could make his own at home.... and so, the journey began. The first few years, before YouTube tutorials existed for everything, were spent just figuring out what the program did and just tried to make any kind of noise he could. Slowly but surely after a lot of years of partying and soaking in influence from other producers and artists he started to hone in to his own sound. Blending multiple genre's together, creating a heavy electro sound that people were starting to notice. Then, throughout the years he played all around the UK and Europe, making new beats to satisfy crowds. But from around 2020 onwards he really doubled down on the creative side, making more and more unique music that truly was smashing genres to pieces. His last three albums, all showcase this ability. And now in the present day he still strives to create new things and is always wanting to challenge himself. Who knows what is coming next...!
