I attended my FIRST Ecstatic Dance here at the Lake, 6 years ago. And it feels like such a magical and powerful full-circle moment to be back here, and to share my magic with this community. 🥰

As we promised earlier....... Our next story echoes over from San Francisco.
Hilary Mertaugh offers us a sensitive journey, reminding us, that self love and appreciation is so important to be able to share the love with others!

The initial inspiration for this mix came when I watched a crazy documentary called Wild Wild Country about the events that took place on an intentional community created for the followers of the guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, later called Osho.  The documentary left me with a lot to thing about, which got me interested in learning more about Osho’s teaching.  Prior to this I had only been exposed to his teachings via the Osho Zen tarot deck.  When I stumbled upon his talk that I included in the intro to this podcast, what he said really resonated with me and the period of life I’ve been in recently.  For me, mixing music is a very beautiful and meditative way of loving and taking care of myself and and the mixes I share are the indeed the treasures that I unearth when I get this chance to, as Osho would say, be selfish.   So I created a downtempo mix with a slightly introspective or dreamy vibe that hopefully helps transports the listener on a journey within to spend more quality time with themselves.

Episode 8 features an interview with Ron Interpreter. Raised on Navajo Nation in Arizona, Ron incorporates his traditional Navajo way of life in the modern world as a contemporary Reiki practitioner.

An accomplished Reiki Master, Ron facilitates a healing modality he calls Beauty Within,” a divine state of being; in which the alignment of consciousness and spirituality is attained by setting positive intentions, practicing self-love, and initiating self-discipline to create an abundant and healthy lifestyle.

KURANDERO is the most recent musical work composed, performed and produced by Colombian multi-instrumentalist Anthar Kharana. Kurandero is the result of an exaltation of music as a source of medicine and the elements of nature as the origin of wisdom.

The word "Kurandero" (Curandero/a) describes the ancient male and female healers of the Andes who, through their connection and understanding of the different realms of nature such as animal, vegetable, mineral and human achieve a deep communication that later translates into acts that generate positive transformation into the everyday realities of being.
