Straight from the chart-topping Charged & Zion EPs alongside RUN debutants T>I & Bladerunner, D*Minds have used that momentum to conjure up yet another silky, sonic number that draws a fresh strand from the diverse junglist spectrum that hasn’t been showcased yet on our RUN in the Jungle project.

‘Drift’ is a perfect representation of that balance between the roots of Jungle/Drum & Bass with a 2021 edge, demonstrating the highly-capable, boundary-pushing versatility in D*Minds production.

A heap of old skool flavour by way of rich drum breaks, expressive synth pads and a distinctive rolling bass pattern immediately teleports your mind to the early days of Jungle. With every 32 bar, a new twist adds another subtle yet dramatic piece to this timeless puzzle that is complemented by a crispness in sound serving as the modern day infusion.

Since signing with us three years ago, Alexey Fuifanov (Command Strange) is an artist that has proved himself time and time again. His past releases have gained support from the likes of Andy C, Goldie, Hype, Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider, and have all seen airplay on prestigious stations such as BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. 

The tail end of 2018 we saw Alexey release a stunning four track EP on Liquid V, and following that he joined us on tour to celebrate the labels 25th anniversary. Continuing into 2019, he continues to show his diversity with a deadly two track single on V Recordings. ‘Ahead Of Me’ and ‘Skyline’ have already proved how well Alexey can work with the Alibi boys, with both tracks gaining huge support. They join forces once more for the first track, ’Stardust’, a sub-low powerhouse. Alexey’s powerful sound design is evident in the second track ‘Major Groove’, with its cage-rattling reese work. 

Command Strange has racked up achievements that are distant dreams for many artists twice his age. Even so, as he continues to develop, collaborate, and innovate, there's no doubt there are many more incredible things to come for Command Strange. Watch carefully.

Originally written as an exclusive for Sun and Bass in 2018, Rolling Dub became one of the label's biggest tunes across the 2019 year, with heavy DJ support across the scene. Back with another excursion into rollers, Trex brings us the Rolling Through EP - featuring the incredible Ill Truth remix and his own VIP of this dancefloor heater.
