Qual is Lebanon Hanover’s bassist and vocalist William Maybelline.
With his solo project he aims to examine his personal view on music, Maybelline moved from the pop touch of well-known and respected main band of his to cruise the slums of darker and even more extreme electronics. 
To quote William's own words, Qual is about vile visions, despaired in a frowning black tower of pain. Concealed yearns of a desolate heart, trying to scratch that unscratchable rotting itch from within. Centuries of sorrow drenched in gloomy electronics that palpitate like human passions. A call for help.

Instrumental track. "Barnard 33" is the name of the dark cloud that has the shape of a horse head, in front of the bright nebula IC 434 in the constellation of Orion.

"Cake 1" is one of @levonvincent more abstract works. This mid-tempo slow-burner has a woozy, psychedelic feel that recalls RAMZi or Jon Hassell, as elements appear and recede unexpectedly over the course of its eight-minute runtime.

Dirk Desaever - Collected 1984 - 1989 (EXTENDED PLAY)
Side A is a reissue of the highly sought after Disdain EP from 1988 by White House White. While it’s the most straightforward New Beat / EBM section of this Collected, Desaever’s sense of dramaturgy, his sound design, rhythmic patterns and use of film samples create a dark and mysterious ambiance at odds with the smiley atmosphere prevalent in most contemporary New Beat productions with infectious grooves focused on setting bodies in motion. 

On Side B, three previously unreleased tracks in a similar spirit to WHW’s sound with a dark and sleazy atmosphere, elegant arrangements that sound of an almost baroque persuasion, mysterious film samples and dance-inducing rhythmic sections that range from 104 to 108 BPM.

Musique Pour La Danse is thrilled to present its latest “Collected” anthology, the label’s most ambitious release since it released an extensive anthology of music produced by New Beat pioneer Ro Maron back in 2015. 

This time label managers Olivier Ducret (Muriaux, CH) and Ed Isar (Paris, FR) have focused on another essential Belgian producer: Dirk Desaever, the man behind White House White, A Thunder Orchestra and Danton’s Voice. Rare and sought after, his records fetch high prices among collectors. Some of his productions under these aliases have appeared in crucial compilations such The Sound of Belgium series as well as Walhalla’s Underground Wave, along with edits by Mick Wills for Biorythm and Marcel Dettman for Dekmantel. 

What was initially supposed to be a simple reissue affair soon turned into a much wider project, as Desaever shared heaps of amazing unreleased material with the label. It seemed much more interesting to shed light on the dark side of this producer’s body of work, rather than to focus on content already reissued elsewhere. 

After listening to noisy tape rips over and over, Ducret & Isar opted to break this release down in three formats (EP, LP distributed via NEWS and a cassette sold by the label direct), each one with different content. They entrusted sound engineer Lorenzo Targhetta with remastering the music and it’s impressive how much he managed to polish the sound without altering the unmistakable grain of music committed to cassette tape.

We are glad to present you ‘Acts of Intimacy’, a 6 track compilation maxi (vinyl + digital), booklet, and large format prints release. Featuring Paulie Jan, Refracted, Asfa, Joseph, Kanthor and Vâyu, the creative process of each artist on the vinyl was guided by our multidisciplinary approach for this compilation. 

The booklet is made of Benoît Lefeuvre micro experiments photos shots taken trough a microscope lens, and Léa Moret-Bailly’s poem. We gave the artists a carte blanche around these artistic elements, to let them compose a musical creation in their very intimate way. 

‘Acts of Intimacy’ comes in a limited press of 200 numbered vinyls, 100 booklets, and 10 unique framed photo prints on fine art paper.

Neud Photo (Nico Nightingale) has been on a tear lately and this latest offering for Mysidian shows up as his most dark and menacing. The electro meets techno sound we know him for is still prevalent but the amnesia-inducing 'Dreamz' carries thumping EBM and New Beat influences as well. R&S meets Subway meets Mute. 
While each track plays on it's own themes independently with tasteful vocal samples and industrial energy, the thing they all have in common is obvious. 
They completely satisfy aural wishes excited during the day which remain unrealized. They are simply and undisguisedly realizations of wishes.

Following the release of his first EP on Reach Another System and tracks along with several well-respected artists on Worst Records and Artifical Horizon, Itako delivers here a new EP with a strong dystopic vibe. Themed around the words uttered by the father of the atomic bomb when he realized that the world would never be the same after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it is the perfect soundtrack for these uncertain times.

As a deserving finale to this futuristic trip, label head Letherique gives the leading track a more cinematic twist with an ever-evolving epic structure and bass drums feeling like meteors raining one after another on the surface of the Earth.
