Since his start as a DJ in 1998, the Bern-based artist Aurel (Michael Bieri) has grown into a defining figure of the Swiss psytrance scene. Early on, he founded his own organization to create open-air festivals and parties in the Bern region. This evolved into a vibrant creative environment that connected him with international acts such as Yahel, Xerox, Talamasca, Infected Mushroom, Human Blue, Flegma, Silent Sphere, Mercuroid, Wrecked Machines, and many others.

After taking a creative break beginning in 2009, he returned in 2021 with a renewed focus and began producing his own music. His sound blends the energetic depth of classic Goa trance with modern influences from progressive psytrance—a fusion that perfectly reflects his long-standing passion and artistic evolution.
