AURÉLIE records was founded by two German djs, producers and underground party organizers in 2010 in Aachen. Based on the proximity to the Dutch border, the label’s musical orientation is wide open, inventive, abstract and most of the time with it’s own style of deep and raw techno music. 
Referring to the idea, that people would be loved for their enthusiasm in making electronic music even though it is free of charge, the label’s manager signed up their artists to promote their music and to adjust, that there is an electronic background beside the mainstream of minimal and techhouse music. 
Unlike other record labels, AURÉLIE rec. sees themselves as a kind of diving board for young and uncharted artists, which are producing fresh and new electronic music, disregarded by major labels and not influenced by the current hype of electronic music coming out of metropolis. 
AURÉLIE rec.’s focus on time relevant music has it’s own understanding of small town sound, releasing music that is primary influenced by underground parties in the early nineties, where the audience danced to unknown music played by unknown djs. 
At this point, it might be said that we love Berlin and it’s electronic music scene, but well, we are not from Berlin! 
AURÉLIE records wurde im Jahr 2010 von zwei Djs, Produzenten und Undergroundparty-Veranstaltern in Aachen gegründet. Aufgrund der Nähe zur holländischen Grenze ist die musikalische Orientierung des Labels sehr weit bzw. abstrakt gefasst aber immer mit einem Bezug zu düsterem und rauem Techno. 
Entstanden aus der Idee, dass man Menschen dafür liebt, dass sie es lieben elektronische Musik zu machen, obwohl sie damit kein Geld verdienen, nahmen die Labelbetreiber zunächst unbekanntere Künstler unter Vertrag um ihre Musik bekannt zu machen und um klar zu stellen, dass es auch abseits des Mainstreams von Minimal und Techhouse einen „elektronischen Untergrund“ gibt. 
Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Labels, sieht sich AURÉLIE rec. als eine Art Sprungbrett für junge Künstler, die ungeachtet der großen und bekannten Major-Labels, neue und frische Musik machen und nicht vom momentanen elektronischen Hype der Hauptstadt beeinflusst sind. 
Der Sound des Labels versprüht seinen eigenen Charme der „Kleinstadtmusik“, beeinflusst durch die Undergroundpartys der frühen 90er, bei denen die Gäste zu unbekannter Musik von unbekannten DJs tanzten.
