FERENC SZANATI brings you this Lost Minute. Ferenc Szanati has been consciously collecting music since his childhood, and made his debut as a DJ in 2007 at the Justmusic.FM DJ Championhsip, which he won. Over time, his musical taste has evolved, influenced by Progressive House and Deep House, leading him to Dub Techno, which is very close to him and he has been representing this style for a couple of years now. Besides music, sound quality is also important to him, so he prefers vinyl to always get the best possible sound on different systems. In 2011, Helikon Radio in Keszthely, Koktél, gave him a regular opportunity a resident DJ and editor to make his style available on terrestrial broadcasting in the region. In 2015, he and his friend AeRo founded the Euphonic Moments event series, which has become a show on Tilos Radio since then (Budapest, FM 90.3 and online). The Dub Techno-centric broadcasts can be heard bi-weekly, featuring guests mixes from Hungarian and international DJs who are doing quality work, alongside the hosts.

The special treat is provided by one of the key figures of the Hungarian jungle and drum and bass scene, the legendary LONGMAN. The long time active disc-jockey has done a lot for the rise of the genre during his career spanning more than two and a half decades. But today, the man behind the cult Airbag show on Tilos Rádio, and member of the Tactile dj-producer quintet flashes his fan side for eclectic, all-night sets moving along the axis of dub, downtempo and triphop. Playing at 9pm can be tricky as its the time of day where most people are up and ready to go - energy is higher and chilling is at a daily low - So with this in mind I decided to showcase a different style; still keeping to the interesting worldly rhythms and instrumentation, but with full on bass in your face.

In this month's Sub-Y-Dub-Y-Doo, we celebrate the 3rd of March with a unique, 303-sound mix by MESTERHÁZY. The set was recorded at the Cökxpôn stage of the Budapest-based Tilos Radio's carnival party. On MESTERHÁZY's record shelves you can find almost every style of music, as well as in the DJ bags he has been carrying to clubs, festivals and illegal parties for the third decade. At dance events his main direction is a mix of "old school" electro, acid and Detroit techno. Throughout his life he has embarked on, left behind, reshaped and reinvented countless projects.

One of the first experimental live-set-album-stems-testing session. It is unique because of the approach and architecture technique used. Perhaps these times will not come back any more due to practical and efficiency related reasons...
Virus TI2 and Elektron Analog Rytm are also part of this journey here and there.
I guess the uniqueness of music derives from one being lost into the unknown realms of harmonic vibration and rhythm. A place in space-time where one counts on intuition and pure musical translation. Like sitting in a car from the future, but to still know how to ride it.
