Strictly 4x4 tracks from the bumpy era of garage which happened between 2002 - 2006. This whole movement was massively influenced by Todd Edwards, Matt Jam & Karl Brown. I lived and breathed this music and have picked some of my favourite tracks from that era for this mix. I tried to keep the tracks mainly released ones so that people who may have not heard them stand a chance of hunting them down. 
There were many tracks i wanted to put in, but the mix would of gone on for hours so i kept it to some of my favourites and some tracks which helped define the era.

Todd Edwards is the reason I first got into garage music back in the mid to late 90s. I heard his track Never Far From You on EZ’s Freek FM show and was totally hooked. I’ve always wanted to make a tribute mix of his music, but I wanted to do it a little differently. This mix is a collection of all of my favourite sections of his tracks. Breakdowns feature heavily because in my opinion, they are the best part.

For anybody who is not familiar with Todd’s music, think of his tracks as a vocal collage. He employs vocal reconstruction techniques to create melodies using vocal samples. The results are hypnotic and uniquely soulful.
