Behind Your Light

Had this idea in my head about how some people try to deflect the crap done by saying 'the devil made them do it' etc.
Thought about someone who was evil because they 'just are' and accept it.  Someone who thinks they could teach the devil a thing or two.
Also .. had been watching 'Lucifer' on tv (guilty pleasure)
Couple of nods to absolute classic tracks in there.

I've been married for over twenty years now to the my perfect match.
We didn't start off as a perfect match, not by a long shot.
Made me think about how many times people don't give a relationship a chance, or are not willing to work / change / compromise.  Even worse ... those who just think it will be easy all of the time and they can just walk if it's not.
Every day I'm a slightly different person than I was. 
Every day my relationship with my wife is different. 
It never get's old.

Wrote the first verse for this in my early twenties and then forgot about it. Came back to it 25 years later and finally finished it.
Hope the early twenties version of me would have liked it, but will never know :-)
Always imagined sitting on a porch swing with your 'one' and watching the sun set ... waters edge .. trees etc ... Perfect !!!

Still not sure if I like what it grew into (bridge went very Motorhead in my opinion) but still have a soft spot for it.
This is just about getting older and understanding that 'every day there is a different me'.

No prizes for guessing that the song is dedicated to my wife (isn't the first ..wont be the last ... the song I mean .. not the wife)
Just an easy old pop song about how you can look and look but sometimes you can't see whats right in front of you.
(so basically like the plot of a gazillion 80's movies)
