This is the first Week of our collaborative project we're calling 'Isolation for beginners'. To help give ourselves some purpose during the weeks social distancing, The Last Dinosaur, Jack In Water, Alex Kozobolis, Lila Tristram and myself have given ourselves a weekly challenge of creating a piece of music each starting from the same set of stems. 

This week the stems were provided by Alex, which consisted of an array of op1 clips, Jamie seeing of he could hold a note for 20 seconds etc.

Week 2 of the Isolation for Beginners project. This week Lila provided the stems. They consisted of a phone recording of Lila playing piano late one night at The Green Note, audio from a government news briefing on the virus at Downing Street, and a full John Renbourn song. 

I chose to focus on the piano excert and the govt covid update and go from there.

Week Three of the Isolation for Beginner's challenge: This week I chose the stems which consisted of a reverse vocal track, a banjo line, an op1 clip and some birds I recorded.

Week 4 of the Isolations for Beginner's project. Beautiful stems provided by Will this week. They consisted of applause, an orchestra warm up, some beats and chopped up melodica.

It is Week 5 of Isolations for beginners. This week Jamie provided the stems. For my piece, I used parts of a piano track, a recording Jamie captured of a man singing in Stoke Newington and some harmonies from Lila.
