Here comes episode 002 of The Techno Files, a podcast showcasing the golden era of techno that drove me hard from the late 90s through the mid-2000s. All tracks are remastered hifi encodings from my personal vinyl library.

On this one we go a little deeper and darker to ramp things up because episode three is going to get a little nuts. But these more minimal tracks come through so warm and punchy. I’m very happy with the overall sound of these digital transfers.

Back to the modern landscape before we take a hiatus on episode 010 of The Techno Files.

That’s right, The Techno Files will be on hiatus until Q1 2025. Some exciting changes are afoot personally and professionally. For more on that tune to the end of the episode.

But for this mix, I’m raw dogging it once again with some deep, driving & atmospheric techno, which is where this old schooler’s modern tastes have been gravitating. It’s been a pleasure getting to know all these new artists & labels and many have reached out to me after being featured. This project has been highly rewarding and I don’t plan on stopping.

(DJ/Producer) Melodic Techno and Progressive with a signature style.

Austin De Chêne has been inspired by the early production talents of Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten. As a result he has created a signature style representing his unique interpretation of the Trance, Techno and Progressive genres.

As a DJ, Austin De Chêne has carefully studied the production of artists from around the world, finding solace in the sounds of Markus Schulz and M.I.K.E. With the inspiration of so many artists, Austin De Chêne has developed a unique understanding of the energy music can create.

Austin De Chêne has incorporated his unique experiences into his productions and DJ sets. He continues put the influence of his environment into the context of his music.

His current project EXPLORATION SESSIONS: Mixed by Austin De Chêne primarily consists of a journey through Melodic Techno toward a more enhanced Big Room Techno style. While staying true to his roots as a DJ with over 20yrs experience the goal within these sets is to make space for the evolution of sound and melody.

His episodes have been featured on ETN.fm, TheFuture.fm, DI.FM and played events from house parties to iconic venues like PachaNYC Night Club.
