This is the first version of "Stand By My Woman" I recorded years go. I was in a rough place back then, heart broken, scattered, and trying to make sense of myself. The song hit me hard at that time, and the recording embodies that vibe.
I'm leaving it up because it's a part of the story. The new version comes from a sober, grounded place, a different mindset, a different season of life. if you listen to both, you'll hear the distance between who I was and who I am now.

The first time I heard this song was years ago, right after a painful breakup that took a long time to heal from. I wasn't in the best place back then. My head was scattered, my heart was raw, and this song hit mean a special way.  I recored z version of it during that time, but this take is different. This is me now, clear-minded, grounded and miles away from the person who made that earlier version.
I've always admired Kravitz, the style, the energy, the way he pours himself into his music. This track has always stood out to me s one of his strongest. T
