This was written by Austin Barrett in 2022 as a wedding gift for his wife on their wedding day.

Following the soul-searching journey that was the move to Asheville, North Carolina, Barrett formed The Green Fingers - a 4 piece outfit of members based in Johnson City, Tennessee. Barrett's time at ETSU gave him connection to lead guitarist Clint Riddle, who he found to have more interests than only Bluegrass - namely a screaming Les Paul guitar. While in a past project, Barrett found himself auditioning John Zernhelt on drums, and forever remembered the talent that Zernhelt brought to the stage and to the writing process. Ellis Waddell on bass came highly reccommended, and blew Austin away within the first notes of the audition. Together, The Green Fingers recorded a Live Album, Live on Studio One, and this four-track EP titled, "Rainy Daze".

Follow was recorded, produced, engineered, and performed on every instrument by singer-songwriter Austin Barrett, and is the single release for the upcoming EP, "Sessions at Black Bear Manor". 

Sitting alone in a really nice house doesn't always provide for the best feelings. This track (and the entire upcoming EP) are the product of Barrett post-breakup with a more mature look on life and how people are.

This is the third in the series of Austin Barrett's solo productions. Following "The Nook Recordings", and the single release "Southbound Now", Sessions at Black Bear Manor takes place on top of Beaucatcher Mountain in Asheville, North Carolina - a living experience that was riddled with fun-loving, relaxation, and broken-heart mending all while experiencing everything that Asheville Black Bears have to offer.

These new tracks offer a lot of experimentation in the record production process. Everything you hear, from the piano, to the guitars, to the programming and mixing, was done by one person over the course of about 6 months.

Austin Barrett is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter from the hills of Northeast Tennessee. He has lead numerous bands and projects in his 10+ years of live music experience. Lately his interest has turned to production and solo work in a private home studio. 

His portfolio boasts an extremely diverse range from Blues Electric Rock to Slow and Soulful Singer Songwriter, and everything in between. If you ask him directly, he’ll tell you that his forte is Fingerstyle Acoustic, though he has real strengths in many areas including: Blues Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Lead and Harmony Vocal, Piano, Banjo, Mandolin, and even Harmonica.
