Welcome to Mack Jacket!

I'm so excited to announce my new project and to start it off with a Bootleg I made of Stevie Nicks' iconic track, "Edge Of Seventeen". I started working on this bootleg a couple years back at the start of the pandemic. I found myself listening to more music from my parents record collection and wanted to bring a new house bounce to some old classics.

Take Me Away was a song that took inspiration from a lot of different things. This being my first track on a new project, I wanted to make sure I captured a large, open-world feel for the listener. I started working on this track in the midst of my move from Vancouver to Los Angeles. I feel the track reflects a lot of the emotions and excitement I had towards starting my career in a new city. Take Me Away

Stay With Me was one of my favourite tracks I've worked on to date. Being a big fan of Classic Rock, I have always wanted to incorporate some Classic Rock elements in my songs. I wanted to give this track a Santana feel. This track really stemmed out from the one focal guitar rift, and expanded outwards from there. I'm really excited about how the final product came out, and I'm beside myself to finally share this one with the world. 

Credits to the man behind the guitar I sampled for this track, Kazuki Isogai. Been a fan of his work for a while and was really excited to feature some of his art in this track. Make sure to check out his stuff!
