Young rising Irish talent Micky Hopkins releases his debut EP on techno giants The Yellowheads label Reload Records. The EP features two dark heavy hitting techno tracks ‘Cosmic Love’ and ‘Astrob’ and to no surprise that it has gained support from the likes of Rebuke, Xenia (UA), Alex Mine and many more. 

‘Cosmic Love’ features melodies with retro-sounding synths behind vocals sampled from vintage space programmes to give the track that cosmic feeling. The drop is hard-hitting modern techno with arpeggiated basslines and stabs.
‘Astrob’ features uplifting trance-inspired melodies with vocals giving a perfect blend of uplifting vibes and eery atmosphere before a drop with rolling basslines and alien-like vocal chops.

Although Hopkins’s previous release on Techno City was a more hard techno warehouse-style track, Cosmic Love EP shows his versatility in not only producing hard industrial techno but creating a more melodic style of techno as well. His plans are to continue producing both styles of techno to cater to all techno music lovers in his hopes to gain more techno lovers in his local area and beyond.

Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail closes out 2020 by looking to the future with a compilation release that showcases a selection of up and coming artists that are set for big things in 2021.

Handpicked by Markantonio, the release features a selection of artists and with the exception of Shabaam, they are all making their debut on AnalyticTrail.

Individually, some of them have already featured on other imprints such as Phobiq, Set About, Codex, Reload, Riot Recordings, Unity Records, Say What?, Octopus, Unrilis, Second State, Senso Sounds, Respekt and many others of equal note.

Some might also recognise the name Push from classic '90s trance tracks such as “Strange World” which was recently remixed and rereleased on Terminal M. Retro-Active is the new techno alias of this already accomplished producer of timeless electronic music.

Touching on a full spectrum of techno including acid, industrial, stripped back, melodic and atmospheric, this dark and dance floor focused release is an annual compilation that in previous years has helped kick-start the career of many a successful artist of recent times.

If you were born with electricity and a real punch running through the veins, then you'd know it is impossible to let them just on the inside. You must allow all that flow escape to the outside. That is exactly what has happened and still happens with @fatimahajji, she was born with those qualities. Every time she gets on stage in front of an audience or locks herself in the recording studio, she transmits it with extreme facility. She possesses a great talent on selecting club music (muscled electronic sounds), good skills in the mix, etc. It is especially remarkable when she is confronting a packed dance floor when the 'magic button light' goes on leading an innate symbiosis with the crowd. Big time!
