Over the past two years Thomas Schumacher and I have build an amazing friendship and released incredible music by Thomas on Noir Music.
I believe 100% in his unique productions and he believe 100% in my A&R skills to take the music to new levels.
I am honored to have yet another set of incredible tracks ready for a release on Noir Music and instead of me describing the music I asked Thomas to put words on the release himself this time.

”It’s been an emotional and rewarding process to record these two tracks for Noir. This release got me digging deep into my Acid and Rave Techno consciousness: The early 90s and it’s illegal Warehouse raves in abandoned dockyards in the North of
Germany. Memories of collective euphoria on the dance floor burnt into my mind and soul. It was my goal to capture the original spirit, the-everything-goes, over-the-top, raw-as-fuck attitude that defined that time of my life.”

For Respekt 166, we welcome Stiv Hey for his first full EP on the label. The release kicks off with 'Can't Stop'; a stone-cold dancefloor destroyer with it's seismic kickdrum, swirling vocal loops and percussive synth hook. Backing it up is 'Control', a slightly deeper take on Stiv's sound, powered by a huge offbeat bass and topped with cool, proggy chords.
As if these two monsters weren't enough, we have a double bill of debut remixers too. Brennen Grey cranks up the drones on his remix of 'Can't Stop', and Juliet Fox takes us on a trip deep into acid territory with her monster rework of 'Control'.

Stiv Hey - Can't Stop (Brennen Grey Remix)

Following on from the steamroller that was 'Carnival of Souls', Respekt's top brass are back with a fresh two-tracker. 'Gates of Dawn' gets the ball rolling with a hefty tip of the cap to Spektre's ravey roots. Searing, gated sawtooth riffs are peppered with breakbeat chops and of-the-era vocal hits to devastating effect. 
The second part of this double A-side is the more introspective 'Something Inside Us', on which the duo keeps the energy levels high, blending mesmerising, acidic melodies with cinematic pads and a scene-setting vocal sample.
The remix package adds yet more colours to the release's palette, with top notch reinterpretations from Loco & Jam and Vinicius Honorio.

Uncertain returns to OFF with another offering of dancefloor weapons.

„Tension' is easily one of Andre Crom's most played tracks of the past months. Its name could not be more adept, as this track works really well to create an atmosphere of intensity and fills every dancefloor.

„Transition' is an equally well named tool.

„Assault' does what it says as well, the synth line is really intense for those peaktime moments.

Italy's David Temessi predates his own OFF Recordings EP, which is soon to follow, with a remix of „Transition'.

One of Drumcode’s most indispensable talents, Tiger Stripes blesses us with another classy two-tracker.

In the last 11 years Mikael Nordgren aka Tiger Stripes has appeared on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Truesoul labels a total of eight times. The Swede has a masterful command of his machines and is an inspired sound designer, imbuing his productions with bags of creativity and cross-genre futurism. His last outing on DC ‘Into Isolation’ was a colourful five-piece of super-charged techno, reinforcing the breadth and strength of his studio work. Nine months on, we have another offering to add to the canon.

‘Jack The Garage’ is a fast and furious leader, mixing up jacking dancefloor functionalism with raw and distorted sounds inspired by garage rock bands such as The 13 Floor Elevators and The Stooges. ‘Back in Black’ draws influence from unlikely sources, Nordgren mining latent inspiration from the smooth synthesized sounds of Travis Scott after his daughter introduced him to the hip-hop maestro. The resulting cut is a slick slice of electro-fuelled techno, with as many sides as a rubik cube, as bass stabs, muffled vocal effects and distorted guitar stabs keep things interesting throughout.
