A returning artist, Pablo Maneiro continues to rise in prominence through his Mayro production moniker. Based in Buenos Aires, the Argentinean producer has found his distinctive blend of progressive house and melodic techno become a favourite on the likes of SkyTop, Heinz Music and Miss Monique's Siona Records. Also releasing regularly on his own Traful imprint, Mayro's Particles remix of Izzet's "Puncher" in March 2022 is now followed by a debut original EP. "Crazy Thoughts" is thus a fizzing percussive gem with rapid-fire hi-hats and clicking groove. A pounding beat adds to the club-friendly vibe and muted synth phrases swirl over the sonic horizon before a memorable, repeated motif hits its stride towards the mid-point. Textured swells and a swathe of effects appear at the breakdown before the second half oozes dancefloor power with its pulsating bassline, effervescent rhythmic patterns and smooth melodic flow.

On remix duties, Kamilo Sanclemente is another artist of considerable repute. Growing in both stature and success, the Colombian star has been a regular on Proton Music with a score of production credits, not least through his "Beyond the Future" series which had already lit up the progressive house scene with three volumes of original music and powerful remixes. Particles has also been a regular home for the Sanclemente sound via the likes of 2017's "Revelations", 2018's "Eva" and remixes for Hot TuneiK, Imran Khan and Izzet. Now returning after a March 2022 reworking of Dave Leck, the Kamilo Sanclemente remix bristles with trademark energy and percussive groove. Building in intensity, familiar refrains from Mayro's original combine with a plethora of new production material from the Sanclemente production arsenal as a searing synth line joins with bouncing bassline and twinkling arpeggio to create a dynamic offering. Evolving into a mesmerising melodic gem by the latter stages, the result is a powerful and joyous new remix of "Crazy Thoughts".

A relative newcomer to the underground dance scene, Blanka Barbara continues to impress with a swathe of original and remix production material dating back to a February 2020 debut on her own Rabbit Records imprint. Going on to feature on Mango Alley, Modern Agenda and Freegrant Music, the Polish born, UK based artist has also found success with live performances and her "Blanka Barbara Welcomes" show on Data Transmission Radio. October 2021 marked a Particles debut with her "Amabie" EP, including remixes from Juan Deminicis and Michael A, as Blanka Barbara now returns with a chunky rhythmic gem that forms the foundation of her "Crazy Thoughts" remix. Full of melodic techno poise, a beautiful new piano refrain is juxtaposed against a menacing synth drone that captures elements from Mayro's original breakdown. Hitting its stride in the third movement, a vibrant bassline sequence and dynamic groove are the perfect accompaniment to Barbara's beautiful melodic elements.

From "Crazy Thoughts" to lucid melodic inspiration, Mayro is ably abetted by Kamilo Sanclemente and Blanka Barbara.
