Two veteran contributors to our imprint, LTN (Indonesia) & Ad Brown (UK), have collaborated on "Miss You", a soulful, progressive house ballad, featuring the achingly beautiful vocals of label newcomer Cat Martin (Northern Ireland). Courtesy of their prolific and celebrated discographies, as well as their busy international tour schedules, LTN & Ad Brown have emerged in the past half decade as elite contributors to progressive house and trance. We could not be more thrilled to present their debut collaboration.

The original mix kicks off with an energetic groove, surrounded by a dark, slightly foreboding soundscape. We are soon met by a resonant bassline, followed by the introduction of Cat's delicate, soulful opening verse. New layers continue to emerge, as Ad's signature arpeggios and an infectious series of vocal stabs are both introduced near the quarter turn. In the main breakdown, Cat's stunning voice fully soars, as she delivers the heartbreaking refrain, "It's nothing new how much I miss you". It's our great joy to share this one with you, a heartfelt collaboration between three sensational talents.

LTN & Ad Brown feat. Cat Martin - Miss You (Original Mix) [Silk Royal]

In 2004, We released a mix compilation on Nettwerk Records called "Bloom" - it was a 2 disc affair which included some of our favorite songs we were playing in our sets along with our newest tracks and remixes. 

Once we had most of the songs compiled, we felt like the compilation was missing something. Something that "took you there" but also with a bit of soul and real instruments. 

So one day, on a lark, Josh decided to pick up his Fender Jazz bass and start playing some stuff. Dave immediately loved what Josh was playing and implored him to record what he was doing so it would not be lost in the ether of "great ideas never recorded."

What happened next was pretty incredible. We started building this song layer by layer. By the end of that day, we pretty much had it finished. A couple days of tweaks and it was done. 

We were so over the moon that we had made a song in such a short period of time that we didn't know what to call it. Enter Dave's realtor, Carol Robbiano, who was showing him a house on Arcadia Avenue in Oakland, CA. While driving to see the house, Dave played her the song. She suggested we name it "Arcadia" if Dave ended up liking the property. 

in 2005, we decided to start our own label called "Organized Nature" and we knew immediately that "Arcadia" would be our first release. For the single we updated a couple of things, re-mixed it to sound bigger and fatter and added a swing-y house beat. So the version of "Arcadia" on the "Bloom" compilation is technically a demo.

As architects of all music styles deep, LeMoti comes correct on their first album for Gravitas Music, "Olive Oil & Octopus". From their foothold in Pittsburgh, the duo has composed five original tracks that feel nostalgic yet simultaneously contemporary, plus two remixes from hometown colleagues Buku and Torvvo. The album begins with LeMoti's iconic "Bellina The Octopus", a catchy half-time number that effortlessly sings from late-night club track to emotional ballad over the course of four silky minutes. Next, "Shades Of Blue" uses a smooth, slow four-to-the-floor beat as the foundation for dreamy arpeggios and chopped vocals. Pulling from evident hip hop roots comes "Turn Around", an edgy yet calm ditty with proper focus given to its groovy basslines and chiming synthesis. Tech house enthusiast Torvvo offers a intricate, driving rework of "Out From Under", while Buku finishes things off with an unconditionally smashing remix of "107th".

So we riffed on that feeling by adding some classic 80s drum processing techniques and we threw in a big dramatic guitar solo.  At the same time it's got a much more modern groove to it so the hope is to bridge the gap between John Hughes and today's dancefloors."

i rarely speak about my releases, but i have to say something about this "cover"..
im very happy this cover got cleared by The Knife (!). 
big salute to my team Transparent Agency Red Smoke Publishing CTM they really fought for this track. they were sending mails back and forth with managements/labels for 6 months, every damn week.. 
the original track means alot to me, so for releasing this as a original with a clearance from The Knife feels like a wierd good dream..
