On September 27, we lived the first After Silence, a sensory experience of  ambient and experimental sounds presented by a group of unique local artists. The Invalid User Live Set is a story that captured us from the first second. Disruptive synths, broken and industrial sounds in an electric set with narratives that draw a raw and visceral reality of relative worlds in the capital, Bogotá.

We mixed our "On The Alley" series up a little bit today with the perfect musical soundtrack to slowly come back to the dance floor (hopefully!!). An eclectic mix of groovy atmospheres, a trip through leftfield music, downtempo, experimental jazz with a pinch of acid sounds, house and spatial electro from our Colombian friend Gustavho @gustavho. Based in Barcelona and one half of @Cravemusik , plus part of @PluralMusik, Gustavho works with a concept inspired by art and nature. We hope to dance in one of their parties soon as well.

Dreamy dramaturgy and the atmospheric sound of his collection of wax. Menzel Washington(@menzelwashington) as he’s known in Berlin, is a record collector, and passionate about the art of mixing. He’s part of Nihil, an underground collective of party makers in Berlin (literally just for fun), and Heische.   

We know Menzel by his characteristic minimal and tech-house sound, but this special time he spices the mix with acid groove, sexy vocals, hypnotic tunes, and the rhythm of a summer dance floor afternoon deliciously mixed. Yummy!

Theories is a Colombian visual artist and music collector with a wide selection of sounds ranging from ambient, leftfield, techno, electro, industrial to drum and bass. She is DJing since 2013. In the mix she did for us, every second shows the deep knowledge she has gained since then in regards to selecting the unusual. For Metamorphosen she created an ice-cool mix, where sliding through all kinds of genres and speeds sounds like the most natural thing in the world.
With her project @automagicalley, theories creates spaces to spread alternative forms of live music and art in Bogotá, making this big city an even more diverse and inspirational place for weirdo connoisseurs.
