Recording of my drum and bass closing set for "PULSE CONTROL @ CLUB PAULA" on 05.09.2025 by @BASSCULTURECREW.

This set was a fitting end to a great night with lots of great people. The crowd and I had a lot of fun with this closing set. It delivers high energy and is a mix of current releases and classics of neurofunk and dancefloor doubles - always hard and sometimes something to sing along to. It's hard to stand still to this! This is my 2025 DANCEFLOOR DRUM AND BASS mix for Autumn. This mix includes some of my favourite recent tracks from artist such as the likes of Sub Focus, Culture Shock, Dimension, 1991, Kanine, Wilkinson, Circadian, Tantrum Desire, Andromedik, Metrik and many more talented D&B artists. SOLDAT PRESENTS: SOULFUL MIX

Not sure if it's the over-commercialization of everything, but I've been thinking about edits a lot lately. I used to make a ton of them and they were fun, but as they've become more and more the standard for what gets played out, I've more or less stopped making them.

When everything is an edit, what is the point. Do we really need another version of "My Neck, My Back"? Probably not, but here's two more. I feel like 'Some Edits & Shit' might add to that problem, but for me, it's really just turning a page and leaving some things behind.

Looking back, some of these are embarrassing, and some of them are really fucking cool. There is something to be said about allowing yourself to grow as a human while understanding that it is ok to come from a place. Even if that place feels embarrassing or alien years later. Maybe there was something interesting about the time or place or just the way I threw ideas together back then.

My only regret is not making a Creed edit. Maybe next time.
