And another! One Eye Witness rounds up 4 more acts to deliver the latest instalment of their V/A series, WITNESS07. The EP brings together names from across Europe: here fresh faces — the likes of Bristol’s JoeLy — rub shoulders with more established dancefloor exponents such as SameSame from Germany and Rome’s Christopher Ledger, all utilising the hypnotic tech house aesthetic championed by O.E.W.

Young Adults’ “It’s Only Temporary” kicks the EP into gear, a perky cut loaded with bounce. The The Hague duo employ a rubbery bassline and sound palette with plenty of boing, whilst working in a playful nod to a certain 1997 Loveparade anthem. Christopher Ledger gets classy on “Change That”, its slinky, steady break keeping hips in motion whilst tricky dubwise FX swirl across the stereo field. JoeLy slows things down and reigns it in with “Transitional”: beneath the filter sweeps, a seductive, sliding acid bassline is accompanied by augmented 303 action. As punchy as it is textural, the fittingly titled “Novel End” by SameSame seems draped in gauze — delicate drones wrap the drums in a soft cocoon, offering something a little more cerebral. WITNESS07: A tech house Tour de Europe, brought to you by Amsterdam’s all-seeing eye!

Planka’s A1, ‘Modo Electro’ from Bolivian Aka Juanjo, is a guaranteed party starter. 
Just as the vocals say, “there’s something in the dancefloor, that’s keeping you dancing”, and keep you dancing it does. We believe it may have something to do with the fusion of Aka’s catchy brass style synth melodies, dirty, infectious bass and overall eery feel, but we’ll let you decide.

Modo Electro has received some early support from the likes of Anthea, Velly, Lumiere and Anah to name a few.

Cyber Alien Communication marks a key milestone for the SQNC collective, which is now evolving into a label under the name Sequence Records and unveiling its debut release: SQNC001. This first release brings together two distinct yet complementary sonic worlds, embodied by Hearthug and Cybercafé aka Adam Dirk’heim.

On the A-side, Hearthug delivers what has already become an anthem—a groovy, irresistible track, crafted for the dancefloor and driven by a mischievous voice that weaves seamlessly into the rhythm. His second track takes a more acidic direction while maintaining his signature fluid and infectious groove, which has been moving crowds over the years.

On the flip side, Cybercafé aka Adam Dirk’heim lays the foundations of his musical identity: a powerful and immersive sound built on deep, pounding kicks, distorted synths, and an entrancing, hypnotic energy that draws from retro-futuristic electronic influences.

Cyber Alien Communication represents the collision of two worlds: the extraterrestrial, playful energy of Hearthug, and the cyber, electronic intensity of Cybercafé. Two distinct approaches, but one common goal: delivering high-impact, dancefloor-driven tracks.

Co-founder of Automatic Writing, he manages the label’s artistic direction together with Darween. This year is coming to an end and, despite all that happened in the world, we're amazed to see that the power of music did resist, contributing to relieve the pain as far as possible. Today, we bring you into Noisy, a small city near Paris, where Guillermo Jamas and Jacan had the chance to spin some records during "Mawifamily x La Relève Covid Online Festival" to support and raise funds for all medical staff in France during the pandemic. The festival featured electronic artists and collectives from France and was supported by the local media. On that occasion, the Automatic Writing bosses, which is the home of artists such as Sweely, Charonne, and Gab Jr, had the chance to spin 3+ hours of nasty house and minimal beats, honoring a good cause.
