Since I started to work more with sampled elements in my productions recently, I remember how much I loved oldschool Hip-Hop and particularly Boom Bap beats for exactly that sound that only sampled vinyl seems to enable. This evening, I experimented with remixing the beat of the allmighty @apollobrown into a more danceable house beat. This is a very rough outline of what I came up with within the hour I sat down to experiment. The source is Apollo Brown - Black Pearls mixed with some 90s House sample CD material (check out my recent post for more on that).
