Market was born in the long wait for a cool change - a tribute to the time of year when you can leave home without a jacket and walk on warm, springy concrete all night.

Released by Cut Copy’s Cutters Records and championed by the likes of Tim Sweeney, Ara Koufax’s previous single Brenda seemed perfectly suited to welcome the sunrise. 

On Market, the Melbourne-based duo (who also work together as Naysayer & Gilsun) step toward the peak of the evening; each pouring their individual loves into a house music mould.

Through the unhinged, improvisational sax work of Sam Mullaly (City Calm Down), Market unravels as a loving nod to Lil Louis and Jungle Wonz at their most anthemic. Coloured by dusty, overdriven chords and oaky percussion reminiscent of David Axelrod, the track’s edges are made to be reached for and felt in the dark.

The weather is perfect. Everyone is here and we’re all so happy to see you.

For its fifth release the French label invites its old friends russians Seven Knives, who presented a wonderful 4-track album.
Seven Knives is a contemporary band from St-Petersburg, Russia consisting of Bøgi/Rem/Shato (vocals, guitars/synths/drums). Their songs are about the time and that things, which are lost (being last, but not least) in it, when this time is organized by the 7-days week. Sacrosanct melodies are made of 7 notes, whatever major or minor they are, the matter is that, you don't need them all. Both days and notes are inevitable. 7 knives is like the third seven of your longed for jackpot, when you get your gold, and say out loud to the unavoidable world flowing your "hellooooooooo".

Wire Spine - Suburban Reality

Paris-based band Vox Low drops a new remixes EP on Alvaro Cabana’s Rotten City Records that features this superb hazy version from ‘My Broken Frame’ aka solo project of Guillaume Leglise, also guitarist of the band. They turned this originally sensible cinematic pop song into an extended cold-blooded kraut cover, mostly built around hallucinogenic synth layers, whipping binary drums, kinky grunge guitars and that haunting sonar bleep that will never leave your mind in peace, for our very pleasure. The track was previously released digitally in 2016 , but its so good that finally he got a deserved vinyl release.  
EP also includes remixes of ‘Ready To Spend’ - killer tune from their last album - from Marvin & Guy, Holographic Planes and themselves. Out on april 5th just to remind you that winter is still not far away.
