We are happy to host some fresh new talent from Stuttgart Germany this time, presenting Egotot for our 70th podcast edition. The young DJ and producer is the founder of Schimmer Records, a forward-thinking label that promotes a more minimalisitc and modern approach to techno, focusing on hypnotic soundscapes and deep grooves. With its sub-label groovebox it also offers classy house tunes as well. Egotot takes us on a journey with this mix, starting off with atmospehric and dubby cuts, and then steadily progressing in tempo and temprament, culminating in the kind of tracks you might here in a club set, all while maintaining his signature sound of complex rhythms and trippy samples. This same sound can also be heard in his own productions, which are also definitely worth checking out!

Egotot defines fast and impulsive Techno. Since he founded the music label, Schimmer Records back in 2019, predominantly focusing on electronic music in diverse variety, he found his own style in production and djing. His percussive and groovy sound is mainly influenced by his previous career experiences as a breakdancer.

The real sense of community from Egotot’s Schimmer Records comes from the fact he is always in search of new opportunities, new connections, and new experiences to spread the sound of Schimmer Records.

Marseille-born DJ and producer, Hemka. Hemka’s life has been influenced with music since a young age, growing up in a musical family and playing bass guitar as a teenager. However, her musical career lifted off since 2017 with “The mystery of the Black Flamingo”, which was released on Float Records. Since then, the French artist released on many renowned labels such as Rekids, Bpitch, Symbolism, Noise Manifesto, among others. Her productions are full of shrewd, minimalistic sounds – paradoxically enough making up her very maxed-out production style. Ambitious and goal driven, she has just launched her own label called ‘Nerudo’, on which she has released her first 4tracks EP called « Divine Beast ».

Next up for Artaphine Series is @volster. Volster is behind two labels: his own Secession and Out of Place, where he's co-founder together with Insolate. In productions, the artist is balancing on the edge of minimalistic groove and razor-sharp rumbling techno most known from the likes of Oscar Mulero and Exium. For the next hour, he delves more into the minimalistic and groovy side with 140bpm rollers with some upcoming Secession material.
