Fluke Artist is the debut album for Melbourne band Labrador Land.

 Labrador Land has replaced Autumnal a long-time collaboration between singer songwriter Richard Besley and producer Wez Prictor (Mick Harvey, Tobias Cummings). Autumnal released three acclaimed new folk albums (Your Elfin Foot 2007, Hemisphere  2012, Confess the Fire 2013).

Besley and Prictor have been joined by young jazz musicians Danny Finkelstein and Tim Chambers to form Labrador Land.

Fluke Artist continues the Autumnal tradition of fine melodic songwriting but traverses a broader musical palette of alt-country rock, funk and even a moment of reggae. Painful reflection has been replaced by quizzical observation of the challenges of staying true to yourself in a tough world.
